Purchased both the male and female versions of myself and my wife. Men's vest was a decent size, but the female one runs a little short. If you're a taller woman, (my wife is 5'8") you might want to look elsewhere. The female vest would fit a woman that's about 5'6" or shorter. The strings help with body width, but again, this was made for smaller women. The material isn't bad (you get that you paid for), and we haven't worn them for long. The material is terrible for the price. I was not expecting it to have a layer on the inside that was quite a bit bigger than the material in the outside. But, I attempted to use the buckles to make it tighter and not look oddly bulging which led to the strap to rip VERY easily. Absolutely terrible.
