We've been searching for solid and cost effective digital signage solution. We tried solution such as concerto, Chrome OS, Yodek, Rise Vision. The free software solution such as concerto or Chrome OS doesn't meet our need since software has limited function. Solution such as Yodek or Rise Vision comes with Monthly subscription fee. We found mediaDROID and we only need to pay for the hardware cost. The interface is easy to manage and installation is a breeze. We like it so much that we bought 13 mediaDroid player. The controllers themselves are fine. I have purchased over TWENTY of these controllers for very basic slideshow functionality, spending nearly $5000 on this system . I did this based on the promise on their website. "If you like what you see, you can simply upgrade to the Enterprise edition. The Enterprise edition starts at only $49 a month. And regardless if you upgrade or not, you ALWAYS get UNLIMITED screens for FREE, we don’t limit you." Keyword, ALWAYS. Turns out ALWAYS only meant until they changed their mind, which they just did. With about 3 weeks notice(which they describe as ample notice!), they have informed everybody that we are now limited to THREE screens on the free plan. I will not have to pay $60/mo if I want my system to keep working. ... show more

    • Easy to install and setup in minutes!
I originally had an older PC in place to have a screen of advertisement. However, that PC recently died and had to be replaced. I didn't want to go through the effort of setting up Windows again. I saw this listed and wanted to try it out. Once I got it out of the box and went through the initial setup, it was pretty seamless. The software used to interface the device is easy to understand and maintain. I consider this pretty easy to use in comparison to my old Windows PC I was using for several years.. I have been using DigitalSignage.com for signage for nearly 10 years. I have put them in Police and Fire stations as well as Churches. They are cost effective and just work. I purchased this newer version of signage controller to replace one that was still working but showing it's age after 10 years of continuous use.
