  • Terrible Customer Support
The keyboard itself is decent, the keys feel nice, but as I said, the customer support is terrible. My keyboard came broken. The pitch bend wheel doesn't work and all the keys are a full step sharp, leading me to believe the pitch bend wheel is broken internally, constantly sending a signal. I have contacted both the seller (whom I have not heard back from in about a month) and the manufacturer (who sent a total of three emails over the course of a month, with no result). It is a shame too because I think the keyboard has potential. ... show more

  • Sounds Great!!
Did a lot of research including similar priced Yamahas and Casios The Medeli SP4200 has a little bigger speakers, sounds amazing and more bells and whistles than I'll ever use. I added the wood stand with 3 function pedal for $99 more which was extremely easy to assemble and fit perfectly!! Recommended! ... show more

  • Quality sound
Great product with a nice realistic sound. It's the best stage piano I have heard yet. I enjoy to hear my son play it at 10 years of age.

  • Great features, very good sound, loaded with features!
We bought the Medeli SP4200 a few months ago for our girls (7 and 9 years old) to take piano lessons. We tried some others in the store from Yamaha and Casio. We also had the piano teacher try them to help us pick. I think the Medeli sounds just as good as the Yamaha. The Casio had the best sound. Our piano teacher liked the feel of the Medeli the best. The Medeli is loaded with features! You can transpose octaves, split the keyboard for two to play at the same time, over 500 sounds, 100 songs (plus 20 for learning the piano), and piano teaching tools. I like using the top mounted USB port to play midi files. Recording is a little complicated since it has six track recording but I was able to record something, save it to the flash drive and open it on my PC. The manual could be better as others have mentioned. The English isn't very good but it's not hard to figure out. In general I would say the keyboard is not very easy to use but you can can learn, it's not that bad. Our girls are having fun learning piano and are practicing a lot on their own. They're doing great and really like the Medeli. I'm pretty sure we got the best piano for the money for our needs! We are very happy with it and I would strongly recommend it to others!!! One thing we only figured out recently...the metronome makes a chime sound at the beginning of every measure which we didn't find helpful. It turns out you can turn that off so it's just a constant, single ding that is just what we were looking for. If you go into the settings ("Shift" and "Function" up/down) and go to "Beat". The default is set to "4" for four beats per measure. You can adjust this anywhere from 2-9. You can also set it to 0. If you set it to zero, it will not make a chime sound for the measure and you just get a normal metronome! ... show more
