These are really horrible quality spiral notebooks. Truly. I never knew a spiral notebook could be so terrible. The cover and back cover stock is too thin and they bend super easily and instantly in a backpack. The writing paper is very thin and the spiral wire is too tight (small) so that when one tries to turn a page in the notebook the thin pages start ripping out. If you do try to remove a page it’s torturous to remove the page on the perforation or get the remaining paper caught inside the spiral, the the binding is all jammed up. I thought Mead was a quality brand and selected Mead since I was purchasing these school supplies online. Never again, and actually not anymore this year, middle school is challenging enough without difficult notebooks. These have got to go! I’d thought I purchased enough notebooks for two years. Not so. We are tossing all of these and donating the unused ones. Starting over mid-school year with better quality notebooks. Thank you Target. ... show more

The notebooks are great and great colors. Although I ordered wide ruled and they came college ruled.. I had donated half to a school supply drive at my office before I realized. So for my own kids I still had to go out and buy more notebooks. I thought maybe I ordered wrong, but nope. someone needs to pay more attention to that. as college rule are useless to me since I have grade school age kids. ... show more
