  • Pretty impressed! Looks just like David Bowie!
I placed this on my display shelf at work (pardon the dust!), and someone who had never seen the movie came into my office and saw it and immediately said, "Oh look, is that David Bowie?". I think if someone who hasn't seen "Labyrinth" sees the resemblance to the actor, that's a pretty good indication of the actor's likeness captured. So I'm very pleased. The hair wasn't sideways like several people had issues with, so maybe they have fixed the manufacturing problem there. Some hair is in his eyes, but you can "comb" it a little out of the way (but not much). Joints were pretty good. The colors and costume are fantastic and look worn. The arms ratchet so they stay in place. The legs were a bit loose around the knees. And the ankles, while not malformed like some reviews state, were a little loose too. But he does stand by himself on the figure stand base plate. The sleeve ends are rubbery so they work well with holding his wand/riding crop (in the style of a microphone as in the movie musical scene which this costume version is from - a baby Toby figure in red and white striped PJs, or screen identifiable goblin would have been a better sidekick than this nondescript "meatball" goblin). But all in all it's not a bad "accessory" considering how good the Jared/Bowie figure looks. I am really put off by movie scale model figures that do not look like the actors (the higher the price the better the likeness), and I'll send them back if they come and they look off. So this one at this price is one of the better figures for facial details! I was literally surprised with how good it looks (I might have just gotten lucky though - maybe the face painter was having a good day at the factory!). I might go and add a little sky blue eyelid makeup to give him more movie accurate coloring, but the eyeliner and such look great. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Great
This is a little work of toy art. Still an action figure, so don't expect photorealism on the face, but it's really close (update:disregard that, it's excellent). McFarlane Toys did the texture very well on this one, leather is perfect, and the skin is very matte and shaded. I don't know why the pants are snakeskin, I don't think they were in the movie, but for a figure this size, it's better to have more texture. The shading on the shirt as well makes it look very realistic. The accessories that come with this are nice as well, The goblin is non-articulate. It's all done very delicately. The joints on this figure move nicely, and it stands on its own despite the heels, but it takes a while to calibrate balance. Hair is good, arms don't move sideways, but knees look very nice. ... show more

  • Perfect box esp with shipping
Perfect for a bday gift. It did take 3 months to be delivered but I don't know if it was because I ordered it with a preorder item that came out in May. Package was in awesome condition esp great for collectors.

  • Stunning!
For Bowie fans, this is a showstopper gift. It's small size is made up for in craftsmanship- whoever sculpted this figure did an amazing job capturing David Bowie's likeness at this small of a scale. For the collectors, the box shows off the figure really well, and is itself really well presented with lots of artwork and motifs from "Labyrinth" on every side. There really isn't anything else like it! ... show more

  • Great collector piece
Bought to add to my small Labyrinth figure collection. Have all the Funkos, so wanted this one (and am currently still on the look-out for a reasonably priced "Masquerade Ballroom Jareth." Box came in great condition. I can see where others have complained about the look of the hair. It is definitely not "Jareth" movie quality, but it doesn't detract from the overall aesthetic of the piece. I was a bit more unhappy by his feet. In the box, they are cockeyed. Since I am not taking him out of the box, I will never know if he can truly stand on them, but, to me, they look as though he would never be able to stand on those itty bitty, crooked feet. Yes, they are small. But what got me was that they were not flat to the floor. Even if small, they should at least be flat so they could be ALMOST supporting the figure. But maybe that is where his supportive riding crop comes in handy? Overall, though I am happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Very detailed, high quality yet fragile item
Mine isn't broken because I was very careful taking it out of the box since other reviewers mentioned it's fragile. I am happy to see I can make mine sit so it can be on the edge of a shelf, but, I will have it sit on a book inside the book shelf since I doubt it could survive a fall off the edge. It's a lovely addition to my few few quality pop toys that I really like sitting on the shelf by my desk. I'd like it to have been tougher but I'm still glad I got it. ... show more

  • Dance magic dance
My wife is an absolute huge fan of Jim Henson and labyrinth I bought her the last goblin King labyrinth action figure so when I saw this sculpt of David Bowie I knew she would have to have it. I think the only McFarlane toy that I have bought her that she likes better is the Lord of darkness from legend. As always McFarland's detail is right on the sits on a shelf next to her others. ... show more
