I needed a big bad Darkseid figure to go with my other 7-inch scale McFarlane DC figures and this one fits the bill pretty nicely. Even though it's a movie figure, it still looks close enough to the comic book version to fit in with comic based figures as well. It's big and sturdy and very well sculpted with a nice black paint wash to bring out all those craggy details in his stone-like flesh. Overall this figure captures the movie look extremely well. He may look a little skinny, but that's how he looked in the movie too. There were some slight quality control issues with mine as both his ankles were pretty much frozen and couldn't swivel left and right. But I was able to fix them by soaking them in very hot water for a minute. After that they freed up and work fine now. However, one should not have to fix a figure right out the package. As I've seen around the web this seems to be a common problem with this figure, which is a shame. It's the main reason I gave it 4 Stars instead of 5. My only other gripe is that I wish this "shirtless" version had been the exclusive variant figure, and the upcoming armored version had been the more common release. That's the more classic looking version of Darkseid, and the one that most people want, but it's a SDCC and Target exclusive, and the pre-orders sold out in under an hour. So that figure may prove very hard to get ahold of. This one is better than nothing, but the more desirable design (with the chest armor) should have been the one that was more widely available.

McFarlane Toys are hit or miss. Darkseid is a great figure, the sculpt and paint detail is pretty good. Down side, the joints are loose. Miles may vary if you decide to get one, but be aware . The shoulder joints should've been ratcheted. They are though one way, but should've been for rotation as well. There are also two different torso joints. One works better than the other, it's the figures only real flaws. Other than that, it's not bad for the price.

This one completes the the whole DC display . A tyrant , unstoppable Darkseid in your collection is a must . Get yours now . Can’t wait to match this one up with a gold label one . Packaging was supreme as well as the figure . Zero defects I am extremely pleased

Love this figure for the most part. It’s pretty accurate in scale. I returned the first one I bought because I couldn’t get the ankles to pivot. Now I have the same issue with the second one. I’ve tried boiling water, oil, brute force, nothing works. The ball joint will not pivot at the foot, which is crucial for anything but a standing still pose. The ball joint swivels where it connects to the leg, but that doesn’t provide an angle, it just makes the foot face a different direction while flat. I’ve contacted McFarlane about it because their customer service has been great for me in the past. I’m pretty sure this was sent to production with frozen ankle joints and I’m thinking they’re all like that. I hope they make a second run and fix the issue because it almost makes the figure a statue.

A live action darkseid from the true justice league movie. It's great this is the unarmored version from the flashback scene. It's around 9 inches tall comes with a spear, a character card, and a stand that comes with every mcfarlane figure and is in good scale with the other figures as well as with the older 6 inch multiverse figures. The price was a bit steep but I'll forgive it cause it's super awesome for displaying
