  • Great deal. Awesome cue stick!
Good value. I always like the feel of McDermott.

  • Beautiful and straight.
Just like I said. I was fortunate to receive a straight(warpless) purple with linen wrap cue. Well built for the low cost. The case is a nice touch. Hope this helps.

  • this pool cue kit is an excellent value. It is not an american made McDermott ...
If you play pool often enough to want your own cue, this pool cue kit is an excellent value. It is not an american made McDermott cue but it is an authorized globally manufactured cue. It has the 🍀 clover trade mark on it next to the connector but it doesn't say "Star" or "Lucky" underneath. It is part of McDermott's line of cue sticks so nobody can give you grief about having a department store "Walmart " cue stick. This cue has a quality Irish linen wrap and a stainless steel collar with a 3/8x10 thread pattern. The shaft could be upgraded to the McDermott G-core or i-shaft in the future, if you wanted to. The shaft that comes with it is a standard maple shaft. The shaft is extremely smooth and well finished. The thread protectors that come with the kit has the star logo on them. The hard tube pool cue case has the McDermott logo and is one of the differences between this kit and the deluxe or classic kit. It is divided by a piece of cloth so the shaft and the butt don't rub against each other. It should be effective at protecting the cue. The kit included a tip shaper/scufer. It's not great but it will get the job done. It also has 4 pieces of McDermott chalk and a rule book. The price has gone up since I purchased it. I paid $92 and some change delivered from amazon. I read other reviews saying that their cue was damaged so ordering from amazon would make returning it easy. Mine arrived straight and perfect condition. For under $100 you get a decent cue, a case to carry it in and the ability to maintain the tip. Everything you need to play, except for the table and balls. Like I said a great value. ... show more

  • Good!
Well i ordered this package because i am playing quite a bit and wanted my own cue rather than a house cue. I am excelling very much in the sport and i believe this package will do just fine. Unfortunately, they first sent me the wrong item but it was very straightforward and easy to do returns. I have not yet received the item. I will post another review after a couple weeks of receiving the cue. They sent me a free return label and will pretty much do what they have to for a five star review, hence this one. Haha but i am impressed with their means to please the customer. ... show more

  • McDermott Pro Kit
The picture does this kit no justice at all, the cue itself is beautiful! The add does not tell what the weight is , mine came with a 19oz. the case is not the soft side zipper type that is in the picture , it is a leather 2 piece cue type, with the piggy back pouch on it that you would pay 50 bux for at a pro shop. It has a good quality thread wrap for the grip. it also has actual inlay not a decal for the design on it as well. Great product for the price. ... show more

  • Don’t buy this cue!!!
This pool cue was the worst pool cue I could have!! I had it for two days and the cue tip was already slipping and had no interest in holding chalk on the tip! For the money I could understand that but I couldn’t even put any draw on the ball or it would miss cue!! If you have more money don’t buy this cue!! I recommend the Viking Valhalla!! It’s 80.00 and is way better than this cue!! ... show more

  • Quality that won’t break the bank.
I haven’t shot pool in around 16 years. I recently acquired a nice table and decided it was time to get back into the game. After reading many reviews, I decided to go with this one. It was a great decision. It feels so smooth and right in my hands. Very nice setup for beginner to a old timer like me. I would recommend to anyone. ... show more
