Update that 6 years later, these things are STILL GOING STRONG. I’m replacing our large sofa cover (buying this same product again) only because my kids got green slime on it and I can’t get it off (slime is an invention of the devil and I threw it all away lol). These things are absolutely THE BEST. Original review: I bought these couch covers over 4 years ago. It occurred to me to write this review today as I was taking them off to wash them again. I bought 3 for the couch, love seat, and chaise chair in our very lived in living room. These things have made it through daily life with two children under age 6 and 3 cats over the last 4 years!! And coming out of the wash today, they look basically good as new! They have protected the couches well. People always comment how soft my couches are. Also, the tan/beige color is very nice. They fit so well that most people don’t realize they are covers! 100% recommend, and I hope that if I ever do need to replace them, this company remains in business! ... show more

After reading all these reviews I was a little skeptical. I ordered it anyway because it was in the budget and I don’t feel like paying a month of rent on a new couch. I just finished putting it on my couch. First thought right out of the package: so soft. Second thought: flimsy. My couch is enormous so I was super worried I would tear this flimsy cloth like a paper towel. But I stretched this baby until it covered my beast of a couch. It got it on and I was sweating. My pets were watching me wrestle this slip cover as if I were some monkey they were watching in a zoo. It fits well enough. Remember that this is not tailor made, it’s a one size fits all situation. So don’t be shocked if it fits awkwardly in some places. The tag issue that I kept reading about is not an issue at all. You just rip it off and it’s gone. I don’t understand what all these complaints were about. How many ways are there to not do that right? Maybe they updated their product? At any rate, it’s a none issue so don’t worry about it. So far I haven’t had to deal with the excessive tucking issue that I kept reading about. Might be because my couch is big and it’s stretched at capacity? Or that this slip cover has been on my couch for a total of one hour? I’ll keep you posted. What I’m most surprised about was that the separate cushion cover didn’t rip when I was shoving the seat cushions into it. I mean, they are pretty huge. I started off being really dainty as I was putting them on, and then at one point I was like “to hell with it!” and really started shoving them in. I wanted to get it over with and I was thirsty. Advice: just put it on a little at a time. If it doesn’t seem like it’s stretching just do little sections at a time. Don’t be violent with the material but don’t treat it with kid gloves either. It best to move the fabric firmly in small sections rather than firmly in large sections. If that makes sense. I think that’s how it gets torn right off the bat. So soft. And it looks so much better. Really changes the room and the price was just right. Will it withstand three animals and a husband? Only time will tell. I’ll update. Update: Almost to the 2 month mark, and to be honest, I forgot that my couch had a slip cover on it. It has held up shockingly well with 2 cats, 1 dog and a husband. No rips or tears. I don’t have to adjust anything. It looks nice. The only thing I noticed was one small snag on the seat. Not a big deal, but it did happen. Other than that. It’s been perfect! I want to start with how impressed I am by this product. I was a bit skeptical at first. I am always weary when it comes to buying fabric online. But then I thought well even if it’s slightly too big I can hem it to fit right. Putting the slipcover on did take a little time however mind you I’m a perfectionist so I have to make sure every corner was where the directions tell you to put it. I started with the cushion cover.. I did get a bit concerned because it did seem SLIGHTLY too big. But I set it aside a decided to worry about it later. Next I put on the couch cover. It fit nice a snug much better than I expect. I was very pleased knowing I would not have to hem it to fit. Then I put the cushions with the cover already on onto the couch. And to my biggest surprise what I thought was slightly too big actually fit very nicely when tucked into the couch. Any product you choose to buy online will always without a doubt have both incredibly good reviews and very disappointing reviews. However if you know how to sew and hem fabric “saggy” or loose fitting fabric can be adjusted to fit just right. Based on my experience I did not have to do either of these things as it fit perfectly. The fabric is as described it is very very stretchy and very soft to the touch. I will be buying this same product for my crocheting chair and the love seat in my kids playroom. I would def without a doubt would recommend this product to others I am very pleased. I like the two piece option as a one-piece slipcover just looks like you've thrown an old sheet over your couch to me. I put it on and I love the fabric, it's very soft. The "sand" color that I ordered is a little darker than I'd expect - maybe "wet sand", but that's really not an issue as it's still fairly neutral. It was easy for me to put on by myself as it's very stretchy and forgiving about the way you might contort it to get it over your sofa. The only thing that really bothered me about this are the stupid tags that tell you front/back/arms. First off, are these really necessary? If you need instruction for this, I have to wonder if you can find your way out of a wet paper sack. Anyway, they're sewn right into the seams on the OUTSIDE of the slipcover! Now, I admittedly have a touch of OCD, so I went to work removing it with my seam ripper - I didn't realize it wasn't just stitched in on a temporary fashion until I'd moved halfway through the first tag. Needless to say, I was less than pleased to have to take the whole damn thing off to sew up the hole on the arm of my brand new slipcover. I cut two of the other three off (the fourth is hidden by the seat cushions), but am annoyed by the bit left in the seam - it's like my eye goes straight to it every time I walk in that room! I may be ripping/resewing those as well. ... show more
