I have been using this leash for over a year now and I still love it. It has held up well to the weather, to being dragged through the mud behind a running dog and many other misadventures we have encountered. I have had to hit the part that hooks onto my dogs collar with a little WD-40 a couple of times but it continues to work great. The leash is very comfortable to use as it does have a little bit of stretch to it, which is nice and the foam around the handle is still in one piece and working well a year after buying it. Definitely durable and it has a long stretch. Our dog pulls a lot and it’s held up through her so it’s definitely worth the money. She can get around good and I still have control over her.

Not so sure about the chew proof part as we don't put the leash where our pit/lab mix can get it. However, I don't think it would stand up to an aggressive chewer like our dog. As far as leashes go though, this one is AWESOME! We have went through 5 retractable leashes (for large dogs) on a 60 lb. dog. She has snapped them all. We have one left and have basically quit using it since getting this leash. It is very sturdy and dries well when it gets wet. The only down side is that unless your dog is fully extended to the end of the leash length, you will have to wind up the excess leash to keep from stepping on it or having it drag through mud, water, grass, whatever surface you are on. We have gotten this one wet and it has held up fine. It is a little heavier than the retractables but when you have a 60 lb. dog yanking on the end of it, you appreciate the solid feel of this leash. P.S. She doesn't yank on it all the time. She just likes to see if she can catch the bunnies. She is usually a very well behaved dog. ... show more
