Its good in the washing machine, holds up well to friction, and holds up well if one of us sweats on it pretty badly. The pillowcases are comfortable to sleep on and the sheet is very breathable. The cover over the bed holds up well when it comes to spills or fluids and is very easy to clean if it is stained or needs to be washed. I'm happy with the sheets overall. It does seem like for 500 thread count they should be softer though but that just may be my perception. To be 100% clear, even though it seems like they aren't as soft as I would imagine 500 thread count to be, they are very comfortable & seem like high quality.

They are a happy medium between 300 thread count that can be scratchy and a 1000 thread count that can be too slick. They had no odor when unpacking. The seams are neat and tidy. Given the ridiculous prices for just about everything in our lives, these sheets are good for what you pay. On a scale of 1-10, I give them a 5 for softness. They're not sandpaper, but they're also not what I used to know as Egyptian cotton sheets. Decent find under $50.00.

These are perfect in the split king size for the twin XL mattresses. I usually end up sewing two twin full sheets together in the middle after trimming about 12 " off each one. Actually that seam (in the middle) helps with the "demarcation" line when someone pulls the covers over to their side too far! These are very nice sheets and make a beautiful bed; long enough without fighting to get the fitted sheet to fit. Hoping the fabric will soften up just a little with washings. ... show more
