I've tried different long lasting lipsticks. I found them to be very drying and cakey. This lipstick goes on smooth and in a short time dries and you are able to put the clear top coat over it. I have bought 4 of these colorstay lipsticks and the taupe one is my favorite. If you have light skin, this is the prefect neutral and polished look for your lips. I like that the color is understated, but leaves my lips looking smooth and even. Since it is closer to the natural color of my lips, I am also less self-conscious about the color fading. ... show more

    • Not as good as the darker shades
I wear the darker colors every day and thought I’d change it up with this one. Didn’t stay as well. I noticed any of these with shimmer in them also doesn’t last as well.

    • Leave color dry then apply the top coat.
I use a lip liner so when I apply the lip color I stay inside the liner. Great product stays on all day and NEVER bleeds into your lines.
