This lipstick really is beautiful- I got it in Wild Card, a matte true deep red. It is densely pigmented and the color is rich and vibrant- in my case, it is a red that matches my skin which is rare so, bonus. The texture makes it easy to apply accurately and it really defines the lips. And it is true matte, perfect for the resurrection of the 80s look (I can speak on this with the authority of one who was there for the original 80s 😊) *Word to the wise? BLOT. Even after a drying period it transfers and stains, and micellar water isn't that effective. Now for the reasons I deducted stars. The lipstick does stay on for a long time, that part is true. But it feathers badly even with liner, and the color doesn't look fresh for very long. The part that disappointed me though was the moisture. We all know to expect long lasting lipstick to be a little dry, same for matte lipstick. But the words "serum," "hydrating," "moisture," and "hyaluronic" are used repeatedly in the ad and even the product name, so I thought maybe this one would be a little better- Maybelline is known to have surprisingly good products for the price point. Nope. Not only is it dry, it is dry-ING. Uncomfortable, and heavy feeling- I was aware of my lips all day. I ain't mad- it has a lot going for it, the color, the application, the true matte texture. So I would have given five stars if it had just been branded accurately rather than as a long-lasting, moisturizing lipstick. Just set the right expectations with me so that I know what I am actually getting. Am I right? ... show more

I’ve been looking for the perfect matte shade that does not dry out and finally found the one! I bought the Scuse Me shade and it’s definitely a lipstick for every day. Going to buy another shade for a lighter look next. It’s very creamy when applying and helps me cover imperfections. Love it

I adore this color!! It applies really smoothly and the color payoff is amazing. I think it lasts pretty well, but definitely had to reapply after having a few drinks on a night out. My lips are more on the dry side, so I have to say this doesn't really feel like a serum lipstick. It's nice at first, but I think you'd have to constantly reapply to see any moisturizing effects.
