A friend recommended this product to me and it was the best lipstick Iโ€™ve ever bought. It really does last and easy to apply. I do wish it was more shiny but for the fact of how well it works and the boldness of the color Iโ€™m more than satisfied. A little coconut oil to remove.

I am really hooked on this lipstick! It's very long wearing and it's super gentle on my lips. I've tried long wear lipstick in the past and found that it dried my lips out too much and irritated them, like it sucked the moisture out of my lips. This doesn't do that at all! They feel very comfortable underneath, no itching, and don't feel dry when I take it off at the end of the day. It has a really pretty matte sheen, and I like the scent, kind of vanilla. Let me address some common complaints among other reviewers and why I think they're wrong. First off, it is really easy to take off if you know what you're doing. Oil takes this stuff off quite easily, so do some makeup wipes. Most lip balms will take it off as well. For example, I use laneige lip balm at night and it takes it off just fine. Put some on, rub your lips together, and then wipe off with a tissue. Neutrogena makeup wipes also take it off. Secondly, I do agree that this product is very sticky. I have found that I can put my Mac lipglass on over top and now it's not sticky anymore! Also the gloss gives it a nice sheen or glitter depending on what shade of gloss. And most importantly, Mac lipglass does not take it off, yay! Third, because oil takes it off, depending on what you had to eat, it will or won't survive your meal. So some people say they had really good luck with it lasting all day, and other people complaining that it's worn off after a few hours. I think it really depends on what you had to eat that day. If I have something light and non-greasy for lunch like sushi then my lipstick lasts the entire work day without needing a touch-up. If I have a lunch that's heavy on oil, like salad dressing or a lot of butter, then I have to reapply after I finish eating. But one touch up in the middle of the day to freshen up the center of your lips is no big deal! That still wayyyyy beats any kind of conventional lipstick. Fourth, your lips need to be totally clean and oil free before you apply. And this stuff takes about a minute to set. So if you're putting it on, say, on top of lip balm, it isn't going to be long wear lipstick. Likewise, let it set well before you go off for the day. If I get lipstick on my teeth, it's usually during this period where it hasn't set yet. If that happens, I just wait until it is set, and then wipe it off my teeth with a Kleenex. Not a big deal at all! Now on to the colors... I am extremely fair skinned (usually the lightest color in any foundation brand), blue eyes, cool undertone, and brown/ reddish hair. On me, I really like the way dreamer and lover look. Very flattering and works well if you have cool undertones in your skin. I like poet, but it's almost a little too orange/ coral for my skin tone. I agree with other reviewers that seductress doesn't look at all like the photos online. That shade is way more brown in person. Like a '90s brown... I'll probably wear it some, but definitely not the most flattering for cool toned skin. I definitely plan on buying another color or two. At this price point, it's pretty easy to experiment. I love this product and this color. This product really lasts. Make sure to apply a very thin coat, it goes a long way and looks better than a thick coat. The product covers imperfections and allows me to establish a solid lip line. It is not moisturizing which is why it lasts all day, so I apply a gloss or moistening lip stick over this base. This is the best all day matte lipstick ever!! I can put this on in the morning drink my coffee, eat lunch and get home 12 hours later and it will still be on my lips and look perfect. In fact, I put on this lipstick yesterday morning and ate fettuccine for dinner last night. Accidentally fell asleep woke up and my lips still look perfect. Itโ€™s amazing buy this shizz. I really love this lipstick. Great color, and it just stays on for hours and hours. Perfect for someone like me who doesnโ€™t wear make up often and doesnโ€™t want to have to mess with it throughout the day. Plus, it doesnโ€™t dry out your lips like some other matte lipsticks.

I've bought 5 shades. Most of the ones I bought last and stay on your lips all day, even when eating and drinking. The downside is it's hard to remove. Rather than test out a bunch of products I bought the official Maybelline remover and it works great. However, it does not work on other surfaces. I accidentally dropped one in the sink and now there's a permanent pink spot even though I've scrubbed it and tried the remover several times. I'll list them in the order I liked them. 65 Seductress - beautiful color, looks as advertised. Great for nude looks and cool skin undertones. It's very close to my natural lip color, but good if I want a more even color on my lips. It does go on tacky and sticky, but no where near as bad as some reviews say. After ten minutes it dries, but doesn't dry my lips out. My lips feel velvety. 60 Poet - also very nice, good for a soft pinker, warmer nude look. A little too pink for me to use often, but when I'm in the mood I'll wear it. Also goes on tacky and sticky, but dries out. 255 Chai Genius - light brown color, good for cooler looks. I would say it goes on lighter than the color of the bottle. Smells like chai. Drier than the other 2. 50 Voyager - deep magenta/red. Great for hiding red wine lips. However, unlike all the others I have this one fades after a few hours, and on pale people like me it's very noticeable. It also really dries out my lips. I only wear this for a night of red wine drinking, preferably at home. This one I'd give 3 stars. 95 Visionary - Lighter than I thought and lighter than the bottle when applied. My least favorite as it makes your lips look too pale and doesn't last all day. ... show more

Wow it stays all day long through eating and drinking. My only complaint is that it goes on SO heavy and dark initially so I have to wipe a lot off for a more subtle look. Will probably buy a lipstick brush to dip onto the applicator instead of using the applicator directly on my lips. First photo is an hour after putting it on (I wiped a lot off while it was wet make it not so strong) and the second photo is 9 hours later, including coffee and a meal. ... show more
