- MAXXIS MINION DHR II: With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the Minion DHR II offers excellent cornering and braking traction.
- 3C MAXXTERRA: An intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.
- EXO: A cut and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of many of our gravel and MTB tires. Suitable for use in a wide range of riding applications from gravel to XC to light trail duty.
- E25: Tires with an E25 rating are suitable for light duty e-bikes with assistance up to a maximum of 16.1 MPH.
- WIDE TRAIL: Optimizes the tires tread layout and profile to match todays modern, wider rims. Maxxis offers WT tires for everything from XC to gravity applications. A 30mm internal width rim is ideal for most applications, but WT tires can be used on rims ranging from 19mm to 35mm internal.

A good tire

I like Maxxis tires and run them almost exclusively on my wife’s and my bikes. I bought this one to replace a rear tire on my wife’s bike. We have this tire on one of our mountain bike tandems. They are durable and grip well in most conditions.

Good traction on loose, dry and hard pack surfaces.

I've found the DHRII holds traction really well on loose, dry and hard pack surfaces. Definitely do not use on wet and muddy trails beccaus they don't shed at all.

This is my new favorite tire for the AM bike, crazy amounts of traction and unlike my previous go-to the Hans Dampf, the knobs on the DHR actually stay on the tire. It's not the fastest roller, but I'm far less concerned with that compared to traction. I've been running this with a Magic Mary front and the combo is unreal !

Running on the Rear (tubless) for NW Riding, tire is absolutely amazing, mounted on carbon rim, this tire does generate additional drag if you are running at lower pressure, I have increased rear tire pressure to 30lbs and rolls just fine, I have used this tire in hardpack, sand, and mud, preforms perfect in all.

Wrong width listing for an otherwise incredible tire.

Why is a 2.3 listed as a 2.4? This is supposed to be a direct replacement to the OEM tires that Maxis provides, yet are thinner. I won't return them since they will do me fine this season, but you should really correct this. Other than that, this tire has incredible grip and lasted me about a season and a half of rough abusive riding carrying my fat ass around the trails.

I bought a bike with these OEM spec’ed rear and front. Game changer. Lighter with less rolling resistance than the Assegai, more grip than the DHF. My current trail setup is 2.3 High Roller II rear, 2.4 DHR front.
