High on traction, high on rolling resistance

Awesome tire! But riding anywhere but down can be tough due to the high rolling resistance. Going from these to a Continental crossking is like night and day. If you ride to your trailhead I would definitely pass. But for an emtb that would be a noooooo brainer.

Awesome tire! Probably as big as you can go without boost and 27.5+ rims.

I am running these on a 2015 Trek Fuel EX 27.5. I have a Rock Shox Revelation on the front (non-boost) and I don't have any clearance issues. They mounted up very nicely on the stock Bontrager Duster rims.

Tough to mount but worth it.

The softer compound made mounting the tire more difficult than the stiffer versions. It took using a tube to set one side of the bead, removing the tube and using an air compressor to get it fully set. Tire choice is personal preference and you should experiment with as many versions as you can afford to find what works best for the trails you ride. That said, this tire has changed how fast I take corners and has boosted my confidence significantly. It’s still early in the season and I’m guessing this tire will wear faster but if I remember to update this review post season I will add how long it lasts.
