This kit fits SNUG on your frame, extremely easy to weld, whatever coating is on the metal does not need to be cleaned off to weld it. Once you cut the rust out that you need, this slides right over the frame tubes with some effort from a mallet and a bit of trimming on the rear frame crossmember. Do not waste Tim on the ugly plate kits, If your Jeep is anything like mine, the corner bends are gone and welding 4 corners together is not as strong as a bent single piece of steel tube. Just get this kit, it’s worth it. One side took me 5 hours to do, starting from pulling it into the garage to spraying the last coat of paint. Tomorrow I should take another 5 to do the other side and reassemble everything. Remember to run your gas tank down before trying to drop it! Way easier with 1/4 tank or less ... show more

It's a good quality product that is easy to install. The hardest part of installing it was dropping the gas tank out of the jeep.
