This is a review of the maXpeedingrods 2" Lift Kit for Subaru Legacy Outback that was priced at $106.22 at the time of this review. I picked this up for a rallycross-style build on a Subaru, and overall it’s a decent kit for the price. The components feel solid enough out of the box, with metal spacers that look properly machined and suitable for this type of application. It doesn’t feel like a cheap or flimsy setup, especially for a budget-friendly lift kit. Fitment is generally good for the intended vehicles. The parts line up as expected, and installation is a typical spacer-style job. It’s mostly bolt-on, but like any suspension work, having the right tools and some mechanical experience helps a lot. One thing to note is that there are no instructions included, so you’ll likely need to reference guides or prior experience during installation. In terms of performance, it does provide additional clearance and helps achieve the lifted look you’re going for. For builds like rallycross or light off-road use, that extra height makes a noticeable difference. However, lift height may not be exactly as advertised. Like many spacer kits, the actual lift you get can vary due to suspension geometry, and in some cases it may come in slightly under the full 2 inches. It still gives a visible lift, just something to keep expectations realistic about. Ride quality remains close to stock, which is typical for this type of spacer kit.
