I moved my family into a Camper until our house is built and we needed a solution for all the windows. The Camper has 7 windows that are oddly sized. I looked into blinds and shades but that option was pricey and I couldn't find exact fits, I also considered curtains but hard to fit windows. So I decided to go this route. I had enough material to do all but 2 windows, it isn't the prettiest option but it does its job (keep that sunlight out!). I also like the fact you can remove it easily if you do want to let light in during the day. I have had a few problems where the velcro adhesive falls off the walls, I just stick it back to the wall, It doesn't happen everyday just randomly falls (possible when the humidity is up inside the trailer, since it's been cooler outside, I haven't had the adhesive fall off the walls, but when I first applied it, it did more, also was just 1 window that would happen, not all the windows) just be sure to ch Clean area well before applying it. Also you will need to cut the lines straight or it won't look good, the kit comes with a razor to cut with. I am going to order more to do the skylights, since those let the sunlight in. I've attached pictures so you can see how it looks inside, possible you could hang a tapestry or a poster over the inside of it for looks. ... show more

We love these blackout curtains for our kid’s rooms. We love that it is removable and reusable that way we didn’t have to install something permanent. Definitely suggest having 2 people to install to make sure measurements are correct. Also recommend cutting extra fabric that way you don’t run short. Our kids now nap & sleep great during the day when the sun is shining. It gets so dark with this curtain! ... show more

Blocks the light well. The suction cups seem to stick fine, but the velcro keeps coming off of the blind.

This is the second brand of similar blackout curtains I've used, and overall this is great. It's a large sheet of plastic, silver on one side to reflect light out and black with a grid pattern on the other (which is great because you can cut straight without using a ruler). It's not dissimilar from a thin table mat. It comes with literally every single thing you need: a cutting tool, a pen, a measuring tool, suction cups, velcro buttons, detailed instructions. Great thought taken in that regard. Two things are worth noting though: you may want to air out the plastic for a while before starting the process. It's dyed and has a heavy ink odor that isn't too pleasant. Secondly, it's important to measure carefully before cutting. On all I've applied, I did it the fast way, just measured it out by eye, cut it and added it to the frame. It works, but you get the best (and best looking) blackout results if you leave a little more material than you think, so there's no lightbleed right at the edges. Actually adding them up on the window is quite fast: just press the velcro buttons and suction cups up, and either add the corresponding velcro buttons on the sheet itself or attach the velcro carefully together and then press the sheet up against it. Takes minutes, and even when I rushed it, the results are very good, blocking out 96% of light. But again, if you really take your time, plan it out and follow the instructions, it can probably look neater and block out 99% of light. Perhaps best of all, with a little material removed from the window handle, you can still easily open the window without any problems. If I ever consider doing this again more neatly, this is definitely the brand I'll consider first, but I would have to air them out for a while before getting started. ... show more

I didnt use the suction cups light would have came through using them on my RV windows. I used velcro tape instead and it worked perfectly.

    • Great, but a little hard to get right the first time
Even after watching the videos and reading the instructions and doing everything by the book, I had to redo some of it. It was just a little harder to understand than it seemed. I originally put it up with the sticky white hook Velcro, but even after cleaning the area and sticking it on well, it unstuck. After that happened, I decided to try the suction cup Velcro and it's working great. Three only problem is that it lets in a bit more light than the other way that covered outside of the window pane area. ... show more

These are amazing. Simply cut them to fit your window and you have extreme darkness. I chose to use the velcro instead of the suction cups and I'm absolutely happy with my decision. They are easily taken on and off of the window if needed. Would highly recommend this product. Extremely durable too.
