*8/14 Update! Customer service at Maxi Cosi has corrected the situation, I must say I am completely thankful and surprised at how great they were with assisting me with my issue. They genuinely changed my mind regarding child safety. Although my car seat did have issues, they have exceeded my expectations in ensuring my child is safe in her car seat. (changing my stars to 5 just because customer service truly backed up there product). I purchased this stroller, car seat combo in February. I’ve always been a maxi Cosi customer. And am so disappointed with this product. The car seat completely came apart, literally had no idea my baby was in a car seat that was not safe. Spend the extra money to buy a reputable stroller. When I bought this stroller I was worried I would have issues based on the reviews, and here I am writing a one star review. People had commented on quality as well as issues with wheels. I only purchased this travel system because I was a first time mom and really wanted the bassinet feature, but did not want to pay $1K+ for the Vista which I think was the other option at the time. We used the bassinet for the first 2 months (we weren't even going out that much) and then switched to just having baby in the carseat. I really wish I had spent about half the amount of money on something else. After seeing a mom practically do pirouettes with her Stokke Yo-Yo, I finally replaced this stroller with the Zoe Traveler (around $250) which I LOVVVEEEE. The Zoe traveler does not work as a travel system and I would not have used for an infant, but just want to emphasize that there's plenty of other options out there that are affordable and maneuver well and are safe. We have the Graco Extend to Fit carseat when we moved out of the infant seat which is very affordable and I'd consider one of the best carseats. I wish I had done more research and had not equated $$ with safety and quality for my baby. As for this travel system, the only decent thing about it was the infant car seat, and even that I felt like I could have gotten same or better quality with a different brand. The wheels on this thing are horrible. The left front one started having an issue relatively early and got progressively worse to where whenever we'd start rolling again after stopping it would just act as a brake. I figured out that I could jerk the stroller to the right a bit and then it would unlock but I hate doing that with my child in the seat. Also the thick plastic rod in the center of the canopy started poking through the fabric a few months into having the stroller. I'd try to thread it back but it would start coming out on walks and looked super unsafe. I removed it and then the canopy was sunk and resting on my child's head. I think it's an unnecessarily wide stroller--there are a lot of marks on it from when we tried to fit it through doorways or past bushes on our narrow sidewalks. It's also heavy, and I could never get it to fold well and it took up most of my trunk. ... show more

Bought this in the blue color and it’s gorgeous!! We have a similar Graco travel system and my review is based off that experience. Keep in my mind, I live in a tropical climate in Latin America, so this package traveled from FL overseas. We received the package in pristine condition and no visible damage to the box. Assembly was done by my husband in 30-45 min (and that was him taking his time to get to know the travel system) and was so straightforward and easy to do. Everything that clicks does so effortlessly. Switching from infant seat to bassinet is easy. The components are not heavy yet durable. The size is pleasant. Not bulky but does take some space. I would travel with this system on a plane. The stroller moves flawlessly. Locking the wheels requires a small tap and the front wheels can be locked too. Love the 5 ways to position the seats, my newborn fits perfectly in the infant seat with the provided padding (he weighs about 7 lbs). The base was installed in 5 minutes whereas and the infant seat clicks on and off easily. The graco system we have looks just like it but operationally was a headache. After one use of the graco, we decided to buy this system instead. The graco was bought second hand in mint condition.     • Issues with car seat base unlatching

We received this car seat travel system for our baby shower. Our baby is now 6 months old and we have now upgraded to a different car seat. During the time we used it, we were still not satisfied with the car seat itself that we were considering getting a different travel system. The stroller does fold with ease and locks in with the infant car seat easily enough (it doesn’t fold with the toddler/bassinet seat). We’ve found that the stroller is fine and the wheels are good overall but it does take up most of the space in our trunk and we have an SUV. Our main issue lies with the car seat and taking it out of the base. Every single time we have difficulty in getting the car seat to unlatch from the base. We’ve tried many different ways to get the car seat out with our baby without waking him. It has been challenging and frustrating to get the car seat to unlatch smoothly that it feels like we have to yank and pull in various directions just to get it to unlatch. In the end, it worked but the unlatching of the car seat from the car seat base was the most frustrating thing about it. ... show more
