    • Beautiful, sturdy, recommend different order of assembly

A friend and I assembled the Max and Lily double bunk and two triple bunks, all of which are identical in their part numbers and assembly process. The double bunk was top quality and easy to assemble, but the triples, although clearly the same in their parts and assembly, were not nearly the same quality, so beware the newer version of the double bunk may not be as high quality as the one I received. The directions are easy to follow if you pay close attention to detail. However, we assembled them in a different order so that we weren't trying to lift a completed bed into the air while fitting the legs onto the metal rods that connect it to the lower bunk. Instead, we assembled the top bunk in its place, on top of the lower bunk. We started by assembling all of the headboards/footboards. Each bunk is slightly different, so be sure to keep the pairs together. Then we connected the bottom bunk head and foot boards with the 2 long boards that hold the slats. We pushed the bolts in all the way to help hold up the long boards, then pulled the bolts out one at a time to screw them into the nut, using an impact driver. We fully tightened every bolt at each step. We stopped there, skipped some pages, and inserted the 5" metal rods into the tops of the legs, and put the top bunk's head and foot boards on those metal rods, on top of the bottom bunk. Then we attached both back guard rails at the same time by first hammering the dowels into the head/footboards with a rubber mallet and then guiding the holes in the ends of the boards onto the dowels sticking out. Then we attached the boards that hold up the slats, again pushing in all of the bolts to help hold it in place while we removed one at a time to screw the bolt into the nut. Then we attached the steel bar on the top bunk. Then the slats. Then the front guard rails. And finally the ladder. The double bunk took us 3.5 hours because we took our time to fully understand the directions and to sort all of the nuts and bolts into different bowls. I highly recommend using an impact driver--you can see in the pictures how tight we got the bolts. The beds are sturdy and beautiful. I bought 6' foam pipe covers and cut them in half lengthwise and duct taped them to the underside of the steel bar to keep the children from bumping their heads. I paid more for the Max and Lily bunk mattresses and glad I did--they are high quality and a perfect fit. Can't wait for my grandkids to come visit! ... show more

    • Very well made

I will say I thought the price was a little on high side until I did some homework and I will say got a great price for this product. I'm 230 Lb and wanted something that would hold some weight. Very easy to assemble and was fun putting it together. If you have a small space take it slow piece by piece once it is together its hard to move in small room which we have. I assembled in the room worked out great I also got two Dreamaway Gel Memory Foam 8 in Mattress from Costco. The bunkbed hold 400 lb each bed which was my thing and the natural wood. I will recommend if you do buy any mattress remember the mattress can't be more then 9in thick. I also would recommend if you do go with any Foam mattress do what I did I got a 1/4 in sheet of plywood the thin stuff and put it down under the mattress as you can see in the pic. Hope this helps. I would buy it again if I needed to. ... show more

    • Great beginner bed!
Size: Full Color: Blue Pattern Name: Bed
This is my sons first "big" bed! He loves it. It took about an hour to put together but it is very sturdy. I like that it did not require a box spring. It makes the bed low enough that he can climb up on his own.

We bought two sets of these. They arrived quickly. My husband and I put them together after he you-tubed instructions and I actually read instructions as we went. It definitely takes two people! The first one took just over an hour and the second one about 45 minutes (the end slats and getting the head and foot pieces turned the right directions was definitely the hardest part). I love the blue color and they are very sturdy. The four grands are excited to sleep in them! ... show more

    • Beautiful beds!!
Size: Twin/Twin Color: Natural Pattern Name: Bed
If you’re contemplating getting beds or a bunkbed for your littles to share,.. this is the perfect solution. We needed to transition our oldest from a toddler bed to twin but she’s still not quite ready for the top bunk. Having the option of separate beds that can be stacked is such a bonus. This gives our girls a chance to get use to the height of the beds as they are and then once a little older, we can transition to actual bunk beds. We also love the wood. It all came packaged so nicely and the smell of clean, non toxic wood was such a treat. Felt great to have such a high quality bed that hasn’t been chemically treated for our girls. It was also nice that it’s all SOLID WOOD!! No pressed wood or fillers. All of the pieces came labeled with clear instructions for assembly. Overall I give this a 10* rating!! Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

    • Good value and sturdy, tidies up the guest room!
Size: Twin/Full Color: Grey Pattern Name: Bed
For the money, this is a sturdy, beautiful bunk bed. I couldn't afford the ones from a local furniture store, but this was in my price range. A bit challenging to put together by myself (female, small), but was able to do 95% before asking a friend to help lift the top onto the bottom support. Looks very tidy in my grandchildren's room. I would recommend this one! ... show more
