I originally bought my first pair of these at a Sunglass Hut, had the insurance on them and the whole works. By the end of the year they were scratched up and I went to trade them in, only for them not to have it. I went to three different Sunglass Huts and because of the insurance, I had to just get what they had, ultimately I was not happy when they offered and was super sad about losing my Red Orange Sunglasses. A few months went buy and for laughs and giggles I used googles AI search on a old pic of me with the glasses and it found them on amazon! The price was the same as the Maui Jim website, but they couldn't ship them as fast as amazon. so I made the purchase and got it in the next three days. The tint is orange, but overall my eyes feel secure, and it does cancel out a lot of glare, as this is something i couldn't deal with the other pair I got at SH. Now its the only pair I use, cleaning them can be a bit of a hassle but nothing a alcohol wipe cant help with. It came in original packing and with a case and cleaning cloth. ... show more

Maui Jim is the only brand I buy even though they are expensive. They are well made and have great customer service ( I used them once a few years back for repair of scratched lenses ). Especially love that they are polarized. Makes a big difference. My last pair of sunglasses from Maui Jim are at least 8 years old and still wearable. It was just time for an updated pair. I've had a few pairs of Maui Jim's and I'm always impressed with the optics of their glasses. These have a great look to them and are comfortable to wear all day long. The style is definitely more for casual wearing, and I'd opt for a more wrap around style of glasses if you're going to be out on the water, fishing, hiking, etc, as they provide more coverage around your eyes for what it's worth. ... show more

Little bigger than the photo I feel but excellent lenses. The 4 star is because the hinges are failing and I’m figuring out how to make sure they don’t get stressed.

These are the kinds of sunglasses that will last you forever if you take care of them. Glass lenses makes them a little heavier so if you are looking for a light pair, you might look else where. The tradeoff is the lenses will last a great deal longer and be more resilient to scratches.
