I was hoping to use this as a bath toy for the kids and while the boat does float in the bath tub, there's a ton of little pieces included that could get missed as the bath drains. This is definitely better for imaginative play when dry instead of bath time. Like all Mattel toys, it is of good quality and fun even for toddlers to play with. The Moana aspects of this toy all feel legitimate and it really does capture how things look in the movie. At $28 at the the time of review, it's priced in the range I would expect for something officially licensed.

This playset is so much fun and such a unique toy! My girls absolutely love it, and it has quickly become one of their favorite Disney toys. It works perfectly with the Mattel Moana dolls (the Barbie-sized dolls), making it even more fun for imaginative play. They were absolutely tickled to discover that the canoe actually floats, which adds a whole new level of excitement. It's perfect for bath time or other water play, but it's just as entertaining for pretend play outside of the water too. The set comes with so many fun little accessories that really bring the movie to life. My girls especially love HeiHei—he's such a fun addition! The different play areas on the canoe provide lots of opportunities for imaginative adventures, and both of my daughters (ages 4 and 6) have spent hours playing with it together. If you have a little Moana fan, this would make an amazing gift. It's well designed, interactive, and provides so many ways to play. Highly recommend!

My daughter absolutely loves this Moana boat. We got it for her for her birthday and she paid with it all the time. She loves the movie and actually took this with her when we saw the newest one. It’s very well made, super cute, no assembly required, she loves playing with it in the tub. She has had a ton of fun with it.

We ordered this moana boat toy and my daughter (plus my other kids) absolutely love it. The boat is a good size, is easy to assemble, and really floats in a bathtub or pool! First off, the boat is well made of sturdy plastic. I have had toys made from much thinner plastic, this is not one of them. Secondly, it is very easy to assemble this boat. I had no problems following the instructions, no complex stickers or easily broken parts during the assembly process. The kids love it, especially given the new movie that is coming out. But the part they love the most is that it floats. They have taken it to the pool and played with it multiple times. The parts don't seem to hold water when you take it out of the pool either, and that is an important feature that keeps it from getting moldy like some water toys. One thing to pay attention to pay is that it does not include a moana action figure. That is a separate item. it does include the chicken which is a nice touch though. If your kids are into moana then this is a great toy, plus, it is reasonably priced too!

My daughter absolutely loves this playset, especially because the canoe really floats and makes bath time even more fun. The boat is larger than I expected, and all the interactive details like the sliding deck, hidden play areas, Heihei, and the included accessories keep her entertained while she creates her own Moana adventures. Everything feels sturdy and well made, and it's easy to put together right out of the box. The only thing to know is that the Moana doll isn't included, but if you already have one, this is a fantastic addition that provides hours of imaginative water play.

This review is for the Mattel Disney Toys, Moana Floating Boat Playset w/ 5 Play Areas, 9 Accessories, Heihei Animal Figure & Seesaw, Ocean Voyager Canoe, Inspired by Movie. First and foremost - the quality seems to be average and acceptable as one expects for the Mattel brand. The features on the Moana are detailed and are not off putting. The size is just right for small hands and imaginative playtime fun. There is little to no assembly necessary and it is self explanatory in nature. Even for assembly challenged individuals like me! The bit of a sticky wicket is the value. At 15 or under - this is fun toy that allows for explorative and imaginative playtime. At double that cost - the value for the dollar is questionable. The Huge downside is that even at the cost - they failed to include a Moana doll with this set. A complete and utter miss. Paying separately to just get the main playable character is a failure on Disney and Mattel's part.
