Hello! First I would like to say that I originally ordered the MCR-5100 and received the MCR-5030 by mistake so the beginning of this experience was a little rocky. All of the order info was correct, and I confirmed that I did not order the wrong one by mistake. Then, I ordered a replacement thinking that the actual item would arrive since the technical info stated on the order was the MCR-5100. What are the odds, I received the wrong one again? When I contacted Amazon they pointed me to the Seller. After a quick exchange with the Seller it was determined that it was, in fact, an Amazon stocking issue since it was shipped directly from an Amazon facility and it will take some time to straighten that out. So here is where everything goes great.... The Seller Matrix Technology quickly remedied the situation by giving me a significantly reduced price on the MRC-5200 (pretty close to the cost of the MCR-5100) which exceeded my original frequency requirements. Today I received it in the mail and did some quick measurements on my reference inductors & Resistor with all measurements well within the advertised specification tolerances. So.. I am very happy with the product and recommend it for the price as well as their customer service. My only gripe now is trying to find the RS232 and/or GPIB command set for remote communications. There was no information in the box. Hopefully customer service continues to impress... Have a great day!

You don't need to shell out $3K or more for a Keysight (Agilent) LCR meter. This Matrix MCR-5200 LCR meter is a fine replacement and is actually better in many ways. The LCR ranges are more than adequate for most electronics work. I do a lot of audio and RF work and rely on mine to tell me the true value of components pretty much every day. The accuracy is outstanding. Can't be beat for the money.

I bought this unit mainly to test capacitors out of circuit which seems simple enough but the readings I get are completely out of range so I reached out to Matrix for help, they wanted to know about what frequency range, resistance, etc. I need. I attempted on several occasions to contact them but first their webpage didn't work then their mailbox was full and now I can't seem to contact them through Amazon. Maybe I got a bad unit, probably I don't know what I am doing and how to operate the tester but the lack of technical support (in China) is practically non-existent. I would not recommend this product, I will stick to my old tried and true Sencore LC-103.

This Lcr meter has been great so far. It’s been about 6 months. It makes troubleshooting and repairs so much easier and faster. Now I don’t have to remove the caps to get an accurate reading. It’s so nice being able to test in circuit. Absolutely a must for car and home audio amplifier repairs. Great product. Will update if any issues arise.

Have owned this for a few weeks. I like it. It is very accurate and it is easy to learn how to use. My only complaint I have about it is the screen is very bright. I wish there was someway to turn it down so it can match my other instruments in the stack. It is a trivial issue though and I am still going to rate it 5 stars because it is one good value.

Great user manual. written very well and easy to understand. I haven't used all the functions yet. I use this product to help design RF filters, where I need to measure capacitor values below one picofarad and my inductors are 100 nanohenries. IOW, very tiny components!! This product is doing a good job of measuring them. I needed product support in order to get a test fixture; they answered every question promptly. I would give them 5 stars if the English in the product manual and on the LCD screen was perfect. It isn't, but this is still appears to be the best value in a professional LCR. 4 stars and a strong endorsement from me.
