I purchased this for our 6 year old daughter who has muscle atrophy. It was delivered on schedule and the delivery man was super nice. It came in a large box with plastic around the mat. My daughter had a lot fun taking it out of the box, especially not knowing what it was, she was super excited. The box was just as fun as the cheesemat, she turned the box it into a car, a spaceship, a plane and hotel by the beach. ❤️ In previous review post, some people mentioned that there was an strong odor and yes... after we took it out of the box, there was an intense chemical odor that lingers for a few days. At one point I totally forgot about the strong odor and went on about our day and kept telling my significant other that I smelled something burning and I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from but then when I was going around the house trying to investigate where the burning smell was coming from, I went to move the mat upstairs and realized that it was coming from the cheesemat. The smell was so intense that I thought something was burning... lol! The smell does go away but it’s intense straight out of box and it will linger for a few days. Set side from the smell, the mat IS AWSOME! My daughter loves it and wants to play on it everyday. The material is really good quality and folds nicely and is light weight. I highly recommend this product to those who are interested in buying. You won’t be disappointed, the overall price and product is very good! ;)

I read other reviews that mentioned a chemical smell but that it went away after a few days of airing it out. That was an understatement. The extent of the smell is SO severe that we had to remove it from our house for 7 days. Despite wiping it down with multiple cleaners and placing fans on it to neutralize the odor, the smell does not go away! Now I’m trying to return it but the seller won’t pay for shipping this defective and awful product back to them (clearly they don’t want it either!) The unbearable smell has been sitting in my car spreading that potent chemical smell. I tried to return it at Kohls through Amazon returns but the box was too large for them and that’s when I realized the QR code for the return is not prepaid. Just left the post office and they can ship it but it would cost me $156.75!!! That’s more than I paid for the wedge itself. Hoping Amazon can get a prepaid label or else I’m out the amount I paid for it. This is going in the dumpster so I can escape the pungent chemical smell!!! We already replaced this with a similar one with zero smell
