They look and feel great. They have velcro that can be used to attach several in a row together. Overall they are a little stiffer and harder than commercial gymnastics mats but they are affordable and do help prevent injuries on clumsy kids.

Bought this mat based on the amazing reviews. Its thick, seems durable, light and easy to fold away. What we didnt pay attention to were the measurements....this isn't much bigger than a yoga mat, 2 ft wide, so won't work as a gymnastics mat beneath a bar or beam. So disappointed since this was a Christmas gift! No fault of the company. Trying to return but am being charged $18 for shipping and company isn't refunding the tax paid (is that even legal?) Of the hundreds of items purchased off Amazon, this is the first Ive encountered this. Lesson learned and be sure to pay attention to return policy. ... show more

My biggest concern when it comes to mats is that they are actually mats and not some thin pad you can barely feel as your body digs into the ground. I got this one so I could work on split stretches. My heel smashes into the mat hard (I'm 190) and feels comfortable. Exactly what I wanted.
