My biggest concern when it comes to mats is that they are actually mats and not some thin pad you can barely feel as your body digs into the ground. I got this one so I could work on split stretches. My heel smashes into the mat hard (I'm 190) and feels comfortable. Exactly what I wanted.

Bought this mat based on the amazing reviews. Its thick, seems durable, light and easy to fold away. What we didnt pay attention to were the measurements....this isn't much bigger than a yoga mat, 2 ft wide, so won't work as a gymnastics mat beneath a bar or beam. So disappointed since this was a Christmas gift! No fault of the company. Trying to return but am being charged $18 for shipping and company isn't refunding the tax paid (is that even legal?)
