Absolutely cannot recommend this book. There are NO pictures, diagrams or illustrations showing what things look like and what they do. Just page after page of widely spaced text--much of it is drivel. Example: "If you have a poor GPS Signal: go somewhere with a good view of the sky and attempt to search for signal." Also: If your battery life is short and your battery is damaged--get a new battery. The table of contents page numbers are NOT correct with the actual page numbers. In the troubleshooting section, if you can't take pictures, it tells you to follow the steps on "How to Use Camera"--guess what--there is NO section or paragraph for this at all. Many more problems with this book but can't imagine anyone being pleased with the book. ... show more

I am a beginner on smart phones. The guide was helpful but I seem to have menu choices the guide does not mention and some menu choices they mention that I do not have. Could be software revision? Not sure.

As a newbie, iPhone user,,,this book has made getting knowledgeable about my iPhone functions possible. I’ve always had a Samsung..so I had a lot to figure out switching to an iPhone. This book is awesome, simple to find the issues I needed help with. I’m glad I bought it.

I bought this book because it said it was for new iPhone users, but I did not find it new user friendly. There are no pictures, not even a sketch of where the buttons are. There is no index. The author uses technical terms without explaining them. The book didn't answer many of my questions, and I had to research them on the web. I'll probably end up trying another book. ... show more
