It works well and is very portable. So it's noisy, but moving air like that takes power and makes noise, that's life. The one thing I found really annoying about this spray booth is that the hose attachments will not to the fan grill. There was no way to cut enough plastic without breaking the attachment, forcing me to throw away a lot of heavy plastic that shouldn't have been. ... show more

This unit is as compact as I was hoping. It also expanded to the size I typically use. I bought the unit with an exhaust. You will have to remove four screws on the back and install a shroud before you can use it. But it works just fine once installed. Remember not to place too many bents in exhaust or your fan will be unable to overcome back pressure. When the unit arrived, the plug in power supply (DC Transformer 120VAC 60Hz to 12VDC 1.5A) did not work. They don't handle being dropped very well and this one apparently was dropped before I got it. Since I'm an electronics tech and save working power supplies from old electronics, I just pulled another one from my salvage bin and the unit came right to life. If your not that handy...go to Radio Shack or contact the mfg. For me this is not a big issue. [Spoiler Alert: Do not attempt this at home without proper training, as it will void warranty and may break unit......Since this is a simple unit electrically, I might later upgrade the fan with a Brushless DC fan (like in PC cases) with higher volume and maybe a LED light in the back. Think Blue.] I have waited awhile for something this neat, compact and inexpensive. Thanks Master Airbrush!!! Update: This is my second buy. This one had a new adapter on the back and didn't require removing metal screen. Also the fan is better and pulls air faster. Overall better unit. I did upgrade the exhaust duct to all metal from a hardware store. It will reduce the flammability of unit in case of....say a fire. I'm not telling you how I know. I can't say enough good things about the Master Spray Booth. I do a lot of acrylic spraying on my scale models. The dust from the acrylic paint was suffocating. This booth eliminated that all together. It really moves some air and its quiet. Master puts out great products. I recently purchased one of the G22 airbrushes from them and love it. I looked at other more well know models such as Iwata, Paschee, and Badger. All were extremely expensive. This booth breaks down to a very small foot print. But when unfolded is much larger than I expected. There is plenty of room to work. The only complaint I could find with it is the one with the LED lights was out of stock! That's the reason I went with this one. But if you have a sufficient lighting were you are working there is not much need for the LED bars. Would I recommend someone buying it? In a minute! I am using this to paint Stainless Steel Tumblers during the winter. This does a great job but the manual needs to be updated. The instructions say to remove the 4 screws on the back of the fan and remove the grill to put the hard sleeve on. No, don't do that! There are no holes on the sleeve and I wondered about that but I saw that it had tabs on the inside so it looked like you are supposed to turn and hook those tabs on something. So, I thought maybe it hooked inside the unit but could see the tabs didn't go far enough down to hook under anything. Then realized that it probably hooked on the grill. So, I put the grill back on and sure enough the tabs slide underneath the bars that go to the 4 screws. So there is NO need to remove the screws like the instructions say. All of the rest of the instructions are good. So because of that i only gave it 4 stars. ... show more

It would be a lot better if the housing was metal but it is plastic, so be aware... It's very cheaply made and seems quite fragile, but the functionality is what counts, and this delivers. I don't expect to be playing tackle football with this thing, so as long as I treat it well, it should last a while. The fan is deceptively powerful. If you are in a confined space, indoors and do things like paint your own guitar effects pedals, cool Gundam style anime robots or perverted Japanese vinyl kits, this is perfect for you. if you are looking for something large format for things like powder coating auto or motorcycle parts, this might not be the right solution. The manual carousel is very nice and has a smooth action. I have to mention, that a lot of people seem confused that this product comes with a lighted interior, I don't know why they think that... the only reason I can come up with is that they are mislead by quickly reading the Chinglish in the description that reffers to the lighted on and off switch. Also, I had no problem storing the AC adapter in the provided compartment. The problem is storing the crazy corrugated hose attachment thingie which I must also mention is not exactly a snap to put on and take off... it will require a screw driver each time, making the portability and storage of the kit a bit cumbersome. ... show more

I bought this for my wife when she got into painting our gaming minis. We don't have a dedicated space for hobbies (yet), so this design was perfect. It folds up into a nice, compact box for storage, fits perfectly in our IKEA bookshelf with the games, and unfolds in a snap when we're ready to use it. It sucks up all the fumes from our paints, eliminating any odors. It makes a bit of noise, but if you're using it, you've already got a compressor turned on for your airbrush, so the extra noise is negligible. The rotating plate in the middle is a nice extra feature, if we need to paint multiple minis at once or if we ever have a reason to paint something larger. Well worth the money! ... show more
