The container that holds the airbrush is heavy glass! Not some cheap plastic. However, keep in mind that it's meant for a top feeding airbrush and not one that has a paint cup mounted on the side. The cleaning brushes work well for my airbrush. The small pick is great for cleaning out the tip. I think this set would work well for pretty much any brand of airbrush you have.

This is a really nice kit. Having said that, I think I could have saved myself some money. I'm an old dude that started scale modeling when I was in junior high (70s). I did some on and off over the years but ended up dropping it because wife, kids, and work get in the way occasionally. I discovered miniature painting about a year ago and now that I'm retired I have a little more time to indulge my. more creative side. When I first started using an airbrush I didn't thin the paint at all. I dropped some testors enamels into the brush and sprayed away. Back then I would just blow anything remaining and lacquer thinner into a paper cup with some kitchen towel stuffed in the bottom. Worked great. Now that I'm back into painting I've seen all these really nice new tools and while something like this is a really nice to have, I still find it easier to just use a plastic cup. I'm not saying this isn't worth the money but if you want to save a few bucks this cleaning jar isn't really all that necessary. It is nice though.

If you want an airbrush cleaning station an don't want to spend a lot of money, this one is OK. Just remember that in some cases you get what you pay for. This airbrush cleaning pot makes switching colors in my airbrush go much faster. It's really nice to just add a little solvent to the cup and spray it right into the cleaning pot before adding a new color. The unit is sturdy and the airbrush holder is really very handy. That said, this particular model has a few minor hiccups that you should be aware of. As I encountered these issues, I had to remind myself that I paid less than $20 for it, so for the money, I really can't complain too much. I think 4 stars is a pretty fair rating since I do like it and use it a lot, but as I'll detail below, there are a few issues. 1. It's pretty difficult to get the lid threaded correctly onto the glass base. As a result, you get a lot of leakage and fumes coming out around the threaded edges. The solution I found was to fiddle with it until I got it threaded and when I tightened it, it got so tight that I can't unscrew it. It's OK, because there's now no leakage around the lid, and I just empty and clean it through the airbrush port and vent. 2. The small filters that go into the filter vent are pretty much useless. If you're blowing in anything more than 5psi, you're going to blow the filters out. The fix, as others have mentioned, is to gently push a cotton ball (or piece of cotton ball) into the vent hole and it works perfectly. It filters any vapor and never falls out while you're using the cleaning pot. 3. This one is a little nit-picky, but it's advertised as a 3-in-1 cleaning station = pot; airbrush holder; paint mixing tray. I used to work in marketing, so I get it . . . but really? The cleaning pot is fine, the airbrush holder is fine, but the lid is practically useless. It's basically like people sat around and thought about how they could make it 3-in-1 and somebody said "hey we can mix paint in the lid! Brilliant!" It's really not practical to try and mix paints at an airbrush consistency in this very large lid, then try and find a way to adequately mix and transfer them into an airbrush. As far as trying to make the lid an additional selling point = FAIL.

Glass bowl; excellent needle/pick (excellent, excellent); good brushes; and a handy airbrush holder, to boot. I ordered the kit because I know I'm going to try airbrushing very soon, seriously, finally (compressor arrives tomorrow), and I'm choosing an airbrush. I also remembered that I have a Paasche Type H from around 1995 that I used 15 years ago for the one and only time I've used an airbrush. I don't remember why it was a rushed job, but it was to repair a bad body rash I got on my car. I've remembered for the past 15 years that, after applying the clear coat, very hastily, I basically sacrificed the brush for expediency and, if I could find it, it would be in bad condition. I found it! It was in horrible condition! Clear coat was caked onto the business end of the brush. After I got it all apart, I started with the kit. That needle was worth the whole 17 bucks. I was able to chase the nozzle, which broke loose all the clear coat shown in the picture that was inside it (that’s only half of it, I’d already thrown out the big chunks). Without that device, I could not have done anything to make the airbrush useable. I'll see how it works tomorrow! I'm not sure you can get by without these tools, and this is a fair price (even though another seller, Best, has the same kit for $2 less.)
