I bought this for my 5 year old before we saw Thor ragnarok. He loves play fighting with his brother and pretending to be Thor. The hammer is made of a soft foam with a hard plastic handle. All in all it's pretty durable and have not noticed any issues with it coming apart. The only thing to note is that the foam can become gouged or torn from finger nails. It's been tough enough for my 5 year old but I try to keep it away from my 2 year old. Great purchase ... show more

it looks great but it's way too small. i expected it to be the same size as the hammer in the movie. You would have to be 3 years old for this to look right.
