I love this desk. I wasn’t looking for a standing desk but I loved the look of this desk. So, I figured “why not!?” I have found that I love standing while working. Especially while doing virtual calls. My only complaint on this desk is that I didn’t want to see the cords. I wanted a sleek look. The cord length is long. But you can’t just strap down the power cord because the desk moves up and down. So, I bought this coil extension cord from Menards online. I couldn’t find on Amazon. It works perfect!!!!!! I've had the desk for about 5 weeks. It's a good-looking desk and the motor function works well so far. I want to recommend this desk but I just can't because: 1.) The original desk that I received was very badly damaged on the top corner. 2.) It took four or five phone calls to Amazon, four no-call/no-show on the scheduled pick-up date to return the original desk, and 5 WEEKS later for it to finally be picked up! 3.) The center drawer of the replacement desk had a very large gash in the bottom about 12 inches long and 1 inch wide. Fortunately, because of the incompetence of the delivery company, per #2 above, I was able to switch out the drawers. 4.) Now, after about a month of gentle, daily use the front edge of the desk has started to "flake" off. It's the area where my forearm rests on the desk. There isn't anything hard that would cause damage and flaking. This is just poor quality finish. Given three product quality issues, not to mention the ridiculous challenge with attempting to exchange/return the defective product, I would strongly suggest avoiding this desk. EDIT: The desktop continues to flake off after very gentle use. I have no doubt this thing will be finish-free by the end of the year. ... show more

My favorite Amazon order ever. Things I love: looks fantastic. Less distressed than product photos. Well made furniture top has three doors, is made with sustainable forests (says Martin anyway). Base is heavy iron - very sturdy. Cable management is ridiculously good. I wanted a standing desk that didn’t look like a simple Scandinavian whatever. A “real” desk that looks at home in an office and adds to the space. This is just beautiful. Assembly is the base and it’s not bad. Spend some time with the instructions. I ordered the brown Hartford Sit/Stand desk. It arrived in 8 days. Legs & Top came in seperate boxes. Everything was very well cushioned inside the packaging. The boxes were placed indoors. I very quickly realized I would not be able to manage it on my own. It is solid. It is very heavy. On my Amazon account. I saw an 800 customer assistance number and called it. I reached Martin Furniture (San Diego) at that number. They asked me to call Amazon. I did. Customer service at Amazon told me they would not have furniture assembly in my zip code. I asked him to double check. He said that he entered the zip code and the system was telling him that Amazon furniture assemply services were not available in my zip code. I'm in Dallas Texas, and I questioned it. He assured me he had double checked. Several phones calls later (including 2nd phone call to Martin Furniture) , I made an appointment on Saturday (10/15) for furniture assembly from Amazon ($263.00). If you're buying this desk, I simply don't see how one person can maneuver it alone. In the process of purchasing online, no warning ever appeard to indicate this level of difficulty. Martin Furniture and /or Amazon may need to provide consumers with a warning to indicate just how heavy/difficult the assemble is for one person...Kudos to Amy at Amazon. She researched solutions while others were less than helpful. The two gentlemen that delivered it were great as well. UPDATE: Patrick came today (10/15/22) to assemble it. He arrived on time. he was respectful and he took his time to make sure the end product was as the manufacture intended. Super high marks for Patrick!! The desk is nicer in person. Having said that, there is a slight malalignment where the flip-up power hub compartment meets the main desk top. This area came pre-assembled from Martin Furniture. This fault is very slight indeed. For the time being, I can see it. Down the road, I suspect, it won't call my attention. The instructions, were helpful. And yet an improtant detail was left out. The box that feeds power to both legs slides into a spot and snuggly clicks into place. This was not immediately obvious, and it was the most puzzling part of the assembly. ... show more

This desk was a purchase that I didn’t take likely. Since I’m working from home and it’s where I’m spend a majority of my time, it was worth EVERY penny. LOVE this desk. And the drawer space is amazing and that’s something I haven’t been able to find in other elevating desks.

I loved this item when I first got it but after using rarely for 1.5 years the finish is already starting to crack and chip. For a $1400 product it should last longer than a year, which is the manufactures warranty. I looked up the warranty information for this product and the site does not exist to even put in a claim.
