I did not provide a before image, as pride forbade, but trust me, there was a large pile of stuff between my monitor and the shelving on the desk. I won't say I'm all organized now, but I'm better than I was before I got this organizer. It definitely inspired me and kick-started my efforts, and I'm sure it will continue to motivate me. Key to this is that it slopes on top, so I won't be too tempted to pile stuff on top of it. The generous back slot and underneath spaces are perfect for important papers, and the other compartments are good for stuff that would otherwise pile up and fall off the back, etc. This organizer, as the headline says, is ridiculously light but looks really good. It appears to be well put together and the wood grain on it is quite attractive. It's probably a little more expensive than some comparable products, but it is SO much nicer than another chunk of plastic on my desk. Look and feel make it absolutely worth it in my opinion. ... show more

This fits quite a lot and really helps keep my desk (more) organized. I especially love all the nooks and crannies that make it very versatile and useful. And while I didn't expect it to be made of antique mahogany it's staying together well and holding up so far. I guess I have simple tastes but it looks nice! Was lighter than I expected but is well built and the organizational slots and dividers gives lots of versatility. I have this set up near my front door table and use it to throw my daily carry in it as well as mail I need to send out in the bottom drawer area. The bottom drawer opening is meant to put your phone and rechargeables since there's a small hole to snake a charging cable or two but I prefer my phone at the top so I can see it easier. The wood can be easily treated and painted if you wanted to but I like the clean untreated look. ... show more

I had high expectations for this desktop organizer, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. Although I was intrigued by Paulownia wood, I expected a higher quality product from a brand like Martha Stewart's. Paulownia wood is supposed to be an eco-friendly hardwood, but I didn't anticipate it would scratch so easily. When I received the organizer, there was already a scratch that I had been fixed with wood putty. Furthermore, some areas have started to splinter, and the wood can be scratched easily with a fingernail. Additionally, because the organizer is untreated, it has a dull color, and certain areas are not smooth to the touch. Regarding the layout, I believe the organizer would have been more useful if the bottom shelf area designated for phone charging was less spacious, and the top part was given more depth. Currently, if you only use the bottom section for charging your phones, then there is a lot of unused space above them. For other purposes, the height-to-depth ratio is strange, which makes it difficult to determine what to use it for. Considering the current price point, I cannot recommend this product. ... show more
