It's worth the price compare to the other brands and not too difficult to set, there are some dent and chips with the table top. But since we bought a black one so were able to cover those by black sharpie.

The desk itself came with no instructions, and the downloadable PDF from here is for a variant of the model. None of the pieces, screws or parts are labeled the same and the instructions are hardly helpful. The photo of the motor in the instructions is a totally different configuration than what came in the package, there’s tabs and labels everywhere that don’t mean anything now. I was surprised by the quality of this desk. It's always a little bit of a dice-roll on this kind of thing, but I was happy with the results. It is packaged very well so it came without any breakage. It can take rough handling. Lot of foam leftover for other projects -- some is a more durable foam like a pool-noodle. The instructions were well written for a change. Easy enough to understand and it came with everything needed to assemble it except for a Phillips head screwdriver. I opted to use a cordless screwdriver and I'd recommend it for the wood screws since there are about 25 or so to attach the supports to the desktop. It was easy to assemble by myself, but there was one point where I could have used another person to help hold the legs in place when assembling the base. You can attach the headphones-holder on either side, and I had to put a screwdriver into the hole in order to tighten the screw (see photo). It's the only one that I couldn't use my automatic screwdriver. When everything was assembled (upside down as shown), I did have help in flipping it right-side up. The desktop is laminated particle board, of course, but it looks pretty good. And I almost like this better than regular wood because of the finish. The laminate feels like Melamine so it's good for spills. You can put a cold can or bottle of soda on the desktop and not have to worry about condensation affecting the wood stain. It works well and goes up higher than I would ever need it. I'm 5'-8" and the top position is at least a foot higher than I need to comfortably stand and position my hands at a good typing position with the keyboard on top of the desk. The photos showing two monitors might be a bit misleading unless they are tiny. Everything in the photo looks a little too small for what it is. You can look at the mouse and keyboard in my photos to see what I mean. I could be also biased because I have a large gaming monitor that skews my perspective. It's plenty large enough for my 34" monitor. But I didn't really care about the photos, and I bought this on the measurements listed, which are correct and you really can't "exaggerate" inches and centimeters in a description. The movement is quiet and smooth. I wasn't sure about the mechanism, but it works fine. It's got a rod that extends from one side to the other that gets connected to the motor which synchronizes the mechanics as it raises or lowers. It works fine, but the rod is exposed and will turn. It shouldn't be a problem, but be sure to keep fingers and cords and hair away from the rod when in use. It's not a deal-breaker. It holds my heavy gaming monitor and keyboard and the motor handles the weight. There's a weight-limit of 176 lbs listed, which is way more than what I need, so unless you're using it as an elevator, it should be fine. It comes in three colors, and I got the darker walnut colored finish. It looks great. I like the size because I have a large 5-foot standing desk for my main work 3-monitor setup and this would be too small for that, but this one hits a nice niche where it's not too small from front to back and not too large where you have more desktop than you need. My only modification is where the control unit sits on the right side. I might move it to the other side or more toward the front of the unit. Where it is now, when it's in the lower (non-standing) position, the arms of my desk chair smack into it when swiveling back and forth in my chair. That's not a big deal. I don't think it would be too tough to move it to the front or even the other side. Overall, I'm very happy with this and the price is decent. It's not the biggest desk in the world, but it's perfect for a good sized gaming setup. Five stars on this one. ... show more

This desk works exactly as it’s supposed to. It’s sturdy and rises and lowers easily. It was not difficult to assemble at all, despite the lack of directions. We use it almost every day in our home office and it’s been great. My son wants to take it to college with him next year.

I have really been enjoying this desk over the last month wanted to really try it out and it has worked great , I daily use the rise and lower functions with no issue. I am able to completely stand comfortably to change up my day and easily lower back down when ready to sit again, I was able to assemble this desk by myself and I am not that handy, took me about 45 minutes and it was fully built. Smooth surface and was way more sturdy than I thought it was going to be. For the price this is a very well made and desk and anyone looking for a desk to be able to sit or stand while working this is a great option! ... show more

While this did require some knowledge of putting things together, it turned out to be a really nice desk!! It rises to a nice height, and enables me to type or write while standing, so that I can avoid bruising my tailbone, which is a problem I often encounter.
