So I bought this after seeing someone using it on youtube. I felt like it was not going to pull the motor I had stuck. But I just kept tightening it slowly and spraying silicone spray on the shaft, a quarter turn at a time and it pulled it out.     • Center jack-screw is extremely soft.
Worked pretty good but the point on the main jack-screw rounded off on the first fan I pulled. Now I have to center punch the shafts and apply grease to keep it centered during a pull. Otherwise it's a decent puller.

    • High quality puller, great to pull my AC fan hub
The fan on my AC unit outside has been a bit out of balance for awhile and I ordered a replacement fan blade assembly. When I started to look into how I was going to do the repair myself, I saw that while there were a few ways to try to get the old fan assembly off the spindle, using a puller was probably the easiest. This is a billet aluminum assembly and very impressive looking. I’m not sure being billet vs. cast is going to make much difference in this application, but it looks great. When I finally got the chance to do the job, I could see the layer of oxidation on the shaft from being installed for the last 17 years. I was extremely glad to have the puller, as having the pulling hooks provide the force to pull the hub upwards was definitely something I couldn’t have done without this tool. ... show more

The threading was defective on arrival, as a home owner I was able to still use this as a 1 time use item with an impact wrench but if I didn't have that I'd have had to wait for another one. I'd like to swap it out for a working one incase I need to replace a motor again in a few years but it looks like I'm a few days past the amazon return window. I'll update this if I hear anything, it'll be a good measure on support. ... show more

    • Works great - Condenser fan came right off motor shaft
Used this to remove a very stuck condenser fan blade from the motor. I did soak the shaft in PB Blaster penetrating oil for a couple days and tried simple lever pry tool, but that alone did not work. I did not have any other pully pullers available so I bought this specialty tool. Glad I did. It worked great and saved me from having to call a guy. One note, and this it either good or bad, the main body of this puller is aluminum. The main bolt threads into a heli-coil looking thread insert. I was very gentle with the bolts, using only hand tools. No problem. If I did this service every day or was an HVAC tech I might get all steel puller. ... show more
