very beautiful!!! nice cotton& comfortable. thickness is just right, not too heavy for warmer nites but warm enough for cooler ones. yes, there was a soapy sort of smell but washing it 2x in warm water and putting in lavender essential oil took it away. dried nicely in the dryer. it shrunk very little. it's a bright white. we love it, its worth the money, we don't think it cost that much for what you get. it seems like it will last a long time. ... show more

Truly lovely. This is a quilt coverlet style bedspread, not a comforter. It is light weight and is longer on the sides and foot. On a regular height bed it would reach almost to the floor. And it is long enough to fold down and then cover your pillows with the extra length. It is a perfect four season cover for Florida and a three season bedspread in the north. Well made and completely covers a queen size bed. The sides come way down to cover the side rails on both sides. While it was extremely wrinkled because of the shrink wrapping, all of the wrinkles came out after 15 minutes in the dryer with a wet towel thrown in with the dry bedspread. The only negative was the color. It is a lovely color (blue gray) but definitely not light gray, as described. The color worked in my room but may not if you are expecting light gray. This comforter is absolutely DARLING, and it’s true cotton!! I’ve even washed it twice and it still looks perfect. The weight of it is great for both hot and cold days, and the embroidery is so elegant and the shams look great too! We have paired it with charcoal grey sheets and king silk pillows to go behind the shams to make it a little more opulent as well as king pillows in the shams. The fit true to size king pillows. We have an 18” mattress so the drape was a challenge - we covered the box spring with an elastic cover that is like TShirt material so everything looks polished. This was the last room of the house we’re doing so we have a ways to go but getting the bed done makes all the difference in the world.
