Really nice tote bag, it’s very sturdy, canvas is thick and strong, it’s big and can carry a lot, there’s a large zippered compartment with 2 smaller ones that don’t zip on the inside of the bag, if it’s a fake it’s very well made, no misspellings, stitching is good and on the inside the designers name is printed/stitched on the corners of the bag, a detail that I would think would be overlooked if it was fake, the downside, its not soft at all, and it’s quite stiff, carries a ton of lint, so much that it can appear faded, good bag but the amount of lint it can get on it is disappointing. ... show more

I love these Marc Jacobs totes. I have the medium and it was just a scosh too small. The large is just a bit too big. But now that I have both - the medium can be my regular purse and the large can be my work tote. It will fit EVERYTHING and I won't feel like a pack mule. The color is the perfect denim that will go with most outfits and jackets. Seems like it will be easy enough to clean and it's put together VERY well. This bag will NOT fall apart. Would I use it as a travel bag? Meh - probably not. Traveling can be a dirty business and this is a canvas exterior. If it was waxed cotton or leather - then maybe. The media could not be loaded. So I am a teacher and I use this as my work bag! This bag can hold my laptop, planner, wallet, keys, bento box, bag with all my laptop accessories, folders, some makeup, my water bottle and I STILL have room. I’m also nursing my son and I’m pumping while at work and even with everything I just mentioned I can throw my pump bag in my bag without zipping it up and walk to and from the school since I work in the city. Due to all the stuff I carry the bag gets a bit heavy BUT due to the design of the bag the straps are really sturdy and get the job done. And the added bonus of getting it in black…it matches every outfit I wear. Part of me wishes this size came with the shoulder strap but after unboxing it and seeing how big the bag is and also how sturdy the straps are (plus with the amount of stuff I carry on a daily basis) I can understand why the large size might not come with the strap like the other sizes due to it potentially breaking. If you’re considering it definitely worth the buy! I’ve been using this daily for about 2 months now and it hasn’t faded!
