Description

Eliminate costly and inconvenient downtime with Marathon's Flat-Free 20" Tire and Wheel Assembly. The flat-free tire comes pre-mounted on a heavy-duty black composite plastic wheel with a 2.465" centered hub and 3/4" bearings installed. Additional 5/8" bearings are included for easy customization. Compatible with many outdoor carts and wagons including the Big Wheel Rubbermaid cart, marina and dock carts, yard carts and other two-wheeled carts. The tire is made of solid, polyurethane foam that has the same bounce and handling feel as an air-filled tire. Non-marking knobby tread tires will keep working surfaces clean and will not deteriorate in the elements. All with the added benefit of eliminating the hassle and maintenance of dealing with flat tires. Please check your existing tire measurements to ensure proper replacement fit. Not for highway use. UPDATE: Its been over a year since we replaced our flat/destroyed wheel with a this hard rubber wheel and in that time the other tire has come apart. I should have replaced both wheels at the same time with this set and saved us the money since we now are buying a second one. The wheel has performed flawlessly. We carry very heavy rocks in the wheel barrow, a lot of dirt, wood, you name it. This wheel has taken everything we have thrown at it. I don't know what all the hubbub is about, this tire was a perfect replacement for our rubbermaid wheel barrow. It has better bearings (actually the old wheels didn't have any bearings at all), it is exactly the right size (we replaced only 1 wheel on ours) and it never ever needs air! We did have to replace the bearings with the smaller sized bearings that are included: when putting the new bearings in, it is very important to cover the bearings so that only the outside edges of the bearings are hit. We used a socket, but use wood or whatever. Just don't hit the center of the bearings with a hammer! It will either ruin them, or worse, knock them out of the bearing race and then the wheel is useless. ... show more

A friend gave me her Dad's old push cart when she sold their house. One of the wheels went flat this year due to dry rot so I purchased these. My son took the old ones off and put these on for me.
