Honestly it smells like an animal when u first get it nothing rlly gets rid of the smell but after u use it for maybe a week or two a bit it goes away, it sheds like crazy but it is great for its price i love it its very fluffy and warm especially for winter its amazing very comfortable, and im a bit scared to washed this though so make sure u have a duvet cover

I don't like leaving negative reviews under any occasions, but after using this duvet/comforter for 7 months I feel like potential buyers deserve an honest review. One of the most important factors to consider when purchasing a down product is the feather/down ratio. Generally speaking, you want as much down in your products as possible. A 80/20 down to feather ratio is usually the cutoff between a good down product to an OK one. A 70/30 or lower down to feather ratio is all but guaranteed to be a mediocre product. This comforter/duvet is 10/90 down to feather. Yes, it's 90% feather and 10% down. It's that bad. The result is a heavy, noisy, and smelly product that is CONSTANTLY leaking feathers. There is a reason they don't tell you in the description that this product is only 10/90 down to feather. There is a reason that so many people complain about the smell, noise, weight, and non-fluffiness of this comforter, it's because there are barely any down in it, it's all feather. I know this is one of the cheapest 'down' comforters on Amazon. But do yourself a favor and spend a little more to get an OK product, because this one isn't even mediocre, it's awful.
