I was a bit nervous ordering this when there were no reviews but it was real feather-down filling and 50% off, and I am very impressed with the quality for the steep discount I got it for. It fluffed up perfectly after a tumble dry and a little manual adjusting, the fabric was very durable feeling (just a little loud), good amount of weight but not too heavy, just smelled like normal fabric, and really my only complaint is that it came kinda dusty looking right out of the vacuum pack, which could be gray lint or something but I put a cover over it anyways. It gets a little flatter than the 100% down comforter I used to have a while ago but for the price it can't be beat ... show more

We love this comforter, while I would not call this heavyweight, it did end up being the perfect weight for what we needed. So I'd say just make sure to carefully review the stated weight of the comforter to ensure you're getting what you expected. The quality and craftsmanship of this comforter is top-notch. While it's not on par with comforter costing thousands of dollars, it doesn't need to be. The moment we put the comforter cover over it, I'd have an extremely difficult time being able to tell the difference. The chambered design is really critical to how well this works. It keeps the filling evenly distributed across the comforter and we no longer find empty spaces or cold spots, during the night. I didn't pay for this comforter. But I've spent more money on bedding than I'm willing to think about. After using this comforter, I am finished spending 10x the price on something that doesn't work better than this. There are definitely better down comforters, but this isn't bad for $90. That price for a cal king size is great. And this is a lot nicer than the polyfil "down alternative" comforters that are absolutely nothing like down, and get clumpy the second they hit the wash. I really like this comforter. At first I was worried, because it didn’t seem to have the Stitching that indicates that the down is sewn into compartments and allows them all to go to the bottom. Fortunately, that’s not the case with this, the compartments are sewn inside so you can’t see them. That makes this ideal for a thin duvet cover because you won’t see the stitch pattern of the comforter inside. The blanket is filled with real goose down and feathers and is extremely warm. It has some heft to it as well, which I like. The exterior of the comforter may be subject to personal preference. I would say that it is not soft. It has more of a crinkly thick fabric feel to it. Because of this, the blanket does make noise when it’s moved around. Nothing crazy, but if that bothers you then stay away. Personally, I like the crinkle noise, it makes me think of high end hotel sheets. In any case, it fits well into standard duvet cover and there are multiple tie loops on it to keep it in place in the cover. Overall, this is a great comforter that feels high end and keeps you warm. This duvet is so nice! It is heavy weight, weighing 7.5 lbs (I weighed it inside the vacuum sealed bag on my scale) which I absolutely love because it feels like you are being hugged by a cloud. It is nice and fluffy and will look amazing inside a duvet cover. It has the loops for tying to secure inside a cover as well. All the edges are corded nicely, no feathers poke out. I can’t wait for cold weather to come so I can really enjoy sleeping in this cloud! It also comes with a storage bag, which I absolutely love having, especially considering that this is a heavy winter duvet, so will be stored after winter during the warmer months. I don’t like using heat in the bedroom and prefer to just have a nice warm fluffy blanket, so I ordered this winter duvet in hopes to keep me warm and I am not disappointed at all!! I love down comforters. The light airy feel that provides warmth with out bulk. There are definitely quality levels in down. This comforter checks all my boxes. Perfect sized squares which don’t allow for gaping if down in one area vs another. Ties for my duvets. Great size and wonderful warmth for cool nights. I didn’t over heat and I stayed warm. I slept with the deck door open and the window and my room got cool but I stayed toasty. I would recommend this as a nice light to mid weight down.
