These have a great feel to them. Nice, soft and thick. Waist band is not constricting. My daughter is at the top end of the size chart for 4-6 years. She's 46.5 inches tall and has long legs, short torso. She's 46 pounds. They fit perfectly. Probably can get a year or two out of them. They are very, very pink out of the package, but when you put them on, they lighten up and appear to be ballet pink. That may have something to do with the fact that they fit her nicely and not loose at all. Her other pair, which are a bit big (and a different brand) stretch all the way up to her chest. These are perfect and hit her right at her waist. The "hole" at the bottom of the foot is pretty large, but not uncomfortable in her ballet shoe. Again, this may be because she's at the top end of the size chart. The larger hole helps her 'convert' the tight very easily. I wash in a laundry bag and air dry. I felt this was well worth the value - getting 3 pairs for the price of 2... and some brands 1. If it runs, I have back up!

These are great and affordable. It's hard to spend more on something that is only going to be worn for a recital. The dress my daughter was wearing was very rough and although the tights pilled a little around the rough areas, they kept her legs protected. They fit well and the fact that they are convertible was a plus. Update: More than a year later. These tights are still going strong and my daughter finds them very comfortable. We gave one pair away (of the three) and have used the other two and they have held up great. This will probably be the last show we will use them in, because she is outgrowing them. I would not hesitate for a moment to buy these again in the next size. (To be clear, we are not using these weekly, but they have been worn for several shows/dress rehearsal/etc. and are holding up well. Even the pair that pilled a bit because of the scratchy costume kept going strong.)
