I don't have the equipment to verify the 22 momme claim, but this is definitely genuine, natural silk from silkworms (which is actually the only kind of silk, but unfortunately this needs to be specified on this website due to all the false advertising of polyester satin), woven in a very soft, smooth satin weave. The construction is good - my average-thickness queen-size pillows fit well inside it with a little extra space. It has smoothly functioning, hidden/invisible zipper (not just a covered zipper, which some sellers are incorrectly calling a hidden zipper), and the entire zipper and zipper pull are a navy blue color that blends in with the color of the pillowcase. The print is so cute, and though I'm not generally a big fan of navy, I love the combination of the deep blue with the golden tones of the stars and swirls. I had to get the same print in the silk sleep mask and also in the stretch silk boxers. I'd love to see this same print done on a black background, too! Anyway, this is a very reasonable price for a real, good-quality printed silk pillowcase. With good care appropriate for silk, it should last years and years. I'm about to buy a couple of other colors!

If you're trying to decide between satin or silk, can I just recommend to get the silk. This pillow case is very high quality. I'm pleased with how the sipper functions and most of all the pattern is very cute! It's soft and feels a bit like its been brushed so my face and hair isn't sliding on it all night like it would with a satin pillow. Overall very comfortable, would purchase again.

Love, love love this pillowcase. The quality and thickness of silk is superb. I've bought them as gifts for others. The zipper and sewing is excellent, the colors and styles dazzling. I've bought 2 King sizes, 1 queen and 2 standards as gifts and it was greatly appreciated and raved about. My morning wrinkles have diminished and my hair is calmer in the morning. Even my 6 lb Yorkie (who sleeps with me every night) tries to hog my pillow when it's bed time. He loves the silky feel and snuggles his face in the pillow to get settled in. I have to reason with him that this is Mom's pillow and he needs to move over. Silk pillowcases require extra TLC when washing but don't be dismayed by the extra effort. Washing on cold temp, in a laundry bag on gentle cycle with Woolite will do the trick, OR hand wash in cold water with Woolite. Air drying is best although I've accidentally thrown them in the dryer. Make sure you zip them up before washing. These make great thoughtful gifts for the ladies (men will like them too!) Next on my list is silk sheets but I'm saving for that.

Have had this silk pillowcase in my cart for a while and picked up one when it was on sale. Comes in a very nice gift bag. Very smooth and nice quality. It is described as “purple paisley” but there is no purple in it. Mostly oranges, reds and blues on a black background. I still really like it though.

I cannot believe I paid this much for a pillow case, but the pillow was so special and this just doubles the overall luxuriousness! Supremely soft and silky smooth, perfect queen size that fits my pillow exactly. Matches every color of my sheets. You have to lay your cheek on it to understand.
