The hair is thick and a little coarse. So it’s great for styling. But when we tried a balayage with 20 volume and let it process for one hour, nothing happened. No lift at all. We tried a strand test when we first got her and it lifted maybe one or two levels. So if you’re wanting one for updo and braiding practice, it’s perfect. Haven’t tried heat on her yet. But as far as color goes, maybe not the best option

This mannequin was wonderful to use in class. However, it’s not all human hair so be careful lightening. Lightener doesn’t take great, so I put her under the dryer. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve given her highlights. This last time a lot of synthetic hair breakage/shedding as pictured. Would purchase again - great for practicing the trending long wolf cut.
