I got this for my daughter's 4th birthday because she nursed long enough to remember it and because she loves to play mommy and baby with all sorts of toys (including a big T rex and a little T-rex). I recently bought a book for kids about where babies come from called " It's Not the Stork!: A Book About Girls, Boys, Babies, Bodies, Families and Friends (The Family Library) " and it has a picture of a pregnant mommy walking a pregnant dog. And it turns out that this toy works really well with that illustration to show that dogs, like humans, are mammals. The toy is really well made, very soft and adorable. The puppies can attach to the mommy dog to nurse using magnets. The magnets work well enough that you can hold up the toy and they don't fall off. My daughter LOVES this toy. I would recommend this to any family. But I can see this as a perfect toy for a school or an educational center. It comes in a plastic bag. For wrapping I used a gift bag. Love this toy bought for granddaughter. I bought 7 animals as gifts to 4 children. Unfortunately had to undergo emergency surgery before 3 were sent back. Please allow me to send back 3 in original package.

When I was younger I had a puppy surprise that I was in love with and when I saw this little nursing dog, I had to have it for my daughter. Gave it to her for her second birthday because she loves puppies and she was just as excited as I thought she would be. The puppies are the perfect little size with magnets in their snouts to attach onto mom for nursing. Mom has two sets of magnets for each pup to nurse. Super cute little stuffy, the perfect size for carrying around, and the magnets are pretty strong. This is a great concept.. nurturing Nana, and I bought it for my grand-daughters birthday, however, this item does not come in a box? It came in a plastic bag, I thought I had gotten a used one, so returned it and got another one, and guess what, it was in a plastic bag too! That is not good for gift giving! I ended up sticking her down a gift bag with tissue paper, and I didn't feel good about doing that. I think for what they charge it should come in a box. ... show more

Granddaughter would put little kittens up to larger cat to "nurse", so this was the perfect gift for her. She absolutely loves it. Soft, nice quality. Not quite as large as I thought it would be, but she loves it.
