  • My great granddaughter loves it
Style: SIOC/FFP Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
My great granddaughter just turned one, she liked my larger kids kitchen at my house so I thought to get her this to have it at home. She is still learning the kitchen side of it but it has many learning features I play with her to learn. Light turn on & off, shapes & kitchen pieces to learn. We have fun together. ... show more

  • Perfect for the just crawling baby! 9 Month Old Daughter LOVES It.
Style: Standard Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This is absolutely adorable and my 9 month old daughter loves it so far. It has tons of additional sound effects/features that I did not know about when I chose it based on reviews/feedback from others. I felt my baby was getting a little bored with the same toys she's had since 3-6 months (the Oball, Baby Einstein piano, stackable rings, etc.), so I wanted to step up our game a bit with something that could keep her engaged for a longer stretch of time. This fits the bill! The hinged door (refrigerator opens from back) is perfect for the independently sitting/just crawling baby, because it encourages her to crawl around and play with the back of it just as much as the font. I love how the food shapes get dropped in and land in the refrigerator drawer. It's literally so perfect. Very well thought out toy. The best part, though, is the adorable sound effects and features of the main kitchen portion (front). I did not realize that the orange faucet pivots up and down to mimic turning the faucet on and off. The faucet also has rushing water, clinking dishes, and voiceover for learning effects. The stove burner "sizzles" when the red pot is placed there. The oven door has a hinges squeaking open and shut sound as well as a bubbling pot noise when you leave the door open for a bit. The on/off switch makes an adorable and realistic clicking sound, and the light feature is one of my daughter's favorite effects. The whole thing is genius and a big win. I can't wait to search for more of the Fisher Price line. I had previously looked in big box stores like Target, and I just wasn't finding age appropriate and engaging toys. Amazon is the ticket. This toy is just what I had in mind. ... show more

  • Our 16 month old grandson immediately started pretending he was cooking, turning on water faucet, and more
Style: Standard Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This has been a HUGE hit with a 16 month old. He has already started pretending to cook with this toy and we didn't expect that! This is the first extended role playing he has done. I added to the fun by putting a small amount of water in the sink and he used his regular feeding spoon to put the water in the cooking pot that comes with the kitchen. He also pretends to wash his hands. But I am not suggesting that you put water in the sink. I just decided to try it. of course, I kept an eye on him to avoid any major spills or water damage to this kitchen set. The sink doesn't leak. The sounds are very realistic and there is also a Spanish language option. The burner sizzles. Press down on the faucet and it sounds like water is running through it. There is also a fridge so it is really 2 toys in one. A shape sorter Is on the refrigerator door. Pretend food slides through the various holes and onto a refrigerator tray. This is fun but the stove and sink are currently the main attractions. I have a feeling this will be a favorite toy for years. He already drops the pretend carrot in the cooking pan, puts it in the oven, takes it out, and blows on the carrot to cool it off. It is so cute! As he gets older, I plan to put some pieces of real chopped veggies in the pan so he can pretend to cook with actual food and maybe even encourage him to eat his veggies. One of the MAJOR advantages of this toy is that it can be set to make only kitchen sounds- just the right blend of realism and a path to imaginative play. . ... show more

  • Daughter LOVES this toy, direct supervision is needed.
Style: Standard Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
The reason why this toy gets four stars is that my 7 month old daughter literally started shrieking and shaking with excitement when she received this for Christmas. I didn't know babies could get that excited about toys. She loves the little groceries, although hasn't figured out how to drop them through the appropriate slots into the refrigerator. My complaints/suggestions/feedback are as follows: At this age, you definitely need to sit next to your child while they play with this toy. It is very light and topples over easily. Even sitting next to her, when my daughter was playing with this toy from her tummy she pulled the top of kitchen towards her too quickly for me to stop it and it bopped her on the head. Sitting up, she's done the same thing. The way that babies this age close the oven door, they try to close their fingers in the door. So far when my baby has done this, it hasn't hurt because she hasn't complained about it. The hinge between the kitchen and fridge seems like it could pinch fingers, but so far we haven't had this problem. I wish there were more songs than just the few that play, although so far it doesn't seem to bother the baby in the least, more of a mommy pet-peeve for having to listen to the same thing over and over again without much variation. Lastly, the pot for the stovetop is supposed to push down \and start either a song or a stovetop sound, depending on the setting, but it's not sensitive enough. From day one, it'll take me a few times of pushing down really hard to get it going. Of course, most of these issues are from the adult view, otherwise I cannot stress enough how much my baby loves playing with this toy. I do recommend it, but be cautious and be present when this toy is out for baby to play with. ... show more

  • Love this toy
Style: SIOC/FFP Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
Got it for my one year old daughters birthday and she loves it. She plays with it every day. I love how it has so many sounds and features; music, sounds like water moving and something cooking on the stove, creak of the oven door, commands like flipping the light switch on and off, etc. Its smaller than I first thought it would be but in the end its the perfect size for my one year old. Easy to use. Fridge door and oven door open seamlessly. Its a great toy. Id recommend buying it whether as a gift for someones kid or for your own kid. ... show more
