    • Glue gun is standard mini, kit designed to work for auto body dent removal
I was wondering how this relates to a general purpose (mini) glue gun, so I heated it up and began with the black glue stick. Unlike craft guns I've had in the past, this one has an on/off rocker switch (and an indicator LED (handy). Because it's so lightweight, it can be tricky to keep the power cord from moving it from its wire-stand supported location (the addition of something grippy where it perches could improve this). The US power plug is 2-prong and not polarized. The cord is just under 4 feet long and apparently 2 conductors of around 20 gauge (very light and flexible). The supplied sticks are longer than usual craft-oriented ones, and they feed just fine. One noted difference is that the material is not like what I remember from hobby oriented sticks (they always seemed to harden but remained a bit tacky). The black one has a shiny hard rubber appearance after cooling, with a lingering rubber smell in the room. When melted, it seemed pretty stringy. Pulling the stick out while the tip was hot rewarded me with a stretchy mess, but the surfaces it landed on (a laminate countertop for one) seemed to release cleanly with a bit of tenacity (I'm guessing by design, since it needs to be removable from a car's painted metal). So that's also to say, these sticks aren't really intended for long-term strong adhesion on smooth surfaces. Changing to the alternate (amber clear) stick, it was quite a volume of black I had to push out (enough for a small project), and even when the flow began the translucent material, it had black mixed in (if that's the effect you want...). I couldn't tell if it contributed to the odor. When I extracted that stick, I let the gun cool more and that seemed to help avoid the earlier mess. The glue stick compatibility looks to be correct for mini style guns, so it should be versatile. The price seems competitive. ... show more

    • Compact, unfussy hot glue gun
This small glue gun seems to be targeted to body shop workers. Or to anyone who wants to try fixing a dent in their car. It explains why the Only instructions included are about fixing an auto dent. But this is a regular glue gun, and should work just fine for a variety of tasks and projects. They just should be the kind that require Hot glue. But Not the glue that came with the gun. Those glue sticks (amber and black) must be some kind of formulation specific to automotive tasks. They seem to have a somewhat odd composition, and a somewhat odd odor. I will just save them for the next time I need to fix a dent. Meanwhile, I will acquire some craft-targeted glue sticks. I’m not sure how well this glue gun will hold up, as it is made mainly of lightweight plastic. I will have to be careful with it. I don’t need a glue gun very often, so that is okay. This little glue gun works very well. Four stars; one detracted for the lack of even rudimentary instructions. ... show more

    • Good budget glue gun for basic projects
For the intended purpose of this glue gun, i think it is a great budget option and comes with many accessories to begin using it right away. The unit heats up fairly quickly and turns solid sticks into usable glue in a short amount of time. When using for crafting, it does exactly what I was needing it for - placing a thin strand hot glue onto a seam where I could attach another board. For this type of application it is a great tool. Why is it so cheap? Well, the construction is a little bit less than what I'd call durable. The housing is 100% plastic, a brittle type, so I would not expect this to hold up to several drops on concrete or asphalt for example. While the plastic may chip, it would likely still work, however. The nozzle also clogged a few times in between applications. This was easy to clear but a bit of an annoyance. All in all, this product is great for the money and I would not hesitate to purchase again as I do not use glue guns very often. In the rare instance I do need one, this does the trick.     • Perfect for my crafting needs
I got this little hot glue gun so my husband and I could start doing crafts with our 5 year old. I love that it comes with clear and black glue sticks, the variety is nice to have for crafts. We have been making little dollhouse furniture and homemade fairy houses with items from the yard, and the glue gun is the perfect small size for these projects. It heats up within about 5 minutes I'd say, and it pushes out glue nicely. Anyone who's ever used a got glue gun knows that they all are a bit flimsy in design (such as the flimsy little kick stand that easily tips over if you knock into it), but they are amazing little devices. The Manelord mini glue gun is lightweight and easy to use. It has an off/on switch and a stand for the nozzle along with black and clear glue sticks. It's easy to work the glue stick through and is affordable. I have small hands and had no issue with its compact size. Taking off one star because the only paperwork it came with was on how to use it to fix a car dent, but didn't come with the other supplies needed to fix the dent. ... show more

This mini glue gun works as advertised. It uses the standard size glue sticks for a mini glue gun and the measurements of the gun in the product posting are accurate. It takes a minute or two to warm up, then dispenses hot glue like it is supposed to, with the trigger advancing the glue stick reliably. No complaints from me and a good price at $8. ... show more

The gun heats up fast. It has an On/Off switch on the handle and a stand that swings out from the handle when you need to set the gun down. Included are 10 glue sticks - 5 of each color. The documentation tells which color stick to use for different kinds of metal when doing car dent repairs but doesn’t specify which stick to use for wood, plastic, etc. The stand could be higher as I could see a situation where the glue could drip from the nozzle and attach to the surface while the gun is on the stand. ... show more

    • It works well for a cheap alternative
A really compact glue gun that works as expected. Also has a small stand at the nozzle like some glue guns I've owned in the past. A bit small, but I have small hands so it doesn't bother me at all. A great value for a cheaper alternative!
