To me, it's a modern take on bay rum aftershave with a lot more spice and citrus, mainly bergamot, which I love. I know scents are hard to describe online, that being said, it's a warm, masculine scent — think a freshly shaven Ian Fleming drinking Earl Grey in Jamaica. I like to shake it up before applying it, because I've noticed it smells more intricate than when it's settled. I carried it in my handbag for a couple of weeks and it did seem to be leaking a very small amount. I always like the Malin + Goetz fragrances, the only issue I have with this oil fragrance is it doesn’t last more than a few hours, where the regular spray fragrance lasts much longer.

The opening notes are a little too sweet for my taste but the dry down however is way more subtle and palatable (a little really goes a long way). I wouldn't reach for it every single day, but it's still a compliment getter for sure!
