This is nothing like the device I purchased. Amazon says that I "Purchased another variation 4 times" Amazon the used car salesman - nothing matters but the $$$ The high ratings on this device are from the old version which was completely different. Before it was a spinner type device, now it is a closed cup style! **** Original Device **** I purchased 4 of the spinner version. THREE of the 4 are broken because the spin relies on weak metal and plastic. Fluids corrode the metal and surely grows bacteria. It MUST be cleaned in the motor end, but it was closed off! That being said, the old version of this was one of the better ones on Amazon. ***** original review ***** One star - but still my favorite. PROS: Flat top with UPS on the side - very convenient compared to other devices. Medium spin power, medium suction power. CONS: They last 3-4 months. They RUST (structural rods visible when fully extended). After 2 months they wheeze and whine, and finally sputter, basically useless. Verdict: Better than any other I've tried.

To start with this is an unique toy and well build at that and that is exactly the reason I decided to get it. But unique doesn't always result it everything desirable. The design had the right idea but does not execute to its full potential at least in my experience. First off the entry-- the silicon / rubber insert is concaved at the opening meaning it is like a small bowl with the actual hole at the bottom of the bowl. Perhaps the idea was to cup it down there while still flaccid and let the suction draw it in to the chamber. In reality doesn't quite work out since the insert is not as stretchy therefore doesn't create not nearly as much suction as some of the other toys. Since the air has to scape from the chamber before one can enter ,with the not so stretchy entry hole air can't escape therefore necessitating manual intervention to try to let the air out. I can see this might work out fine for someone with small girth but for most might find it difficult. Insertion length - the actual insertion length is about 2 inches. Again due to the air pocket I am yet to be able to utilize the full length. The concave opening makes it even more difficult to work the fingers unlike a typical toy where the hole is out front. The rotational movement is nice but only when manage to be inside to fully experience the sensation. it has a slightly nubby texture. The gyration is gentle which I liked. Overall I feel it is good for edging IMHO. it is going into my collection as something different won't be my first choice for traditional play.
