  • It’s a Makita
It’s a Makita a no brainer. Nicely make ergonomics are good. Just buy it

  • Was sent a used/broken unit, but Amazon replaced it the next day.
I ordered this to use in buding decor for our business. The unit I was sent initially was clearly used and damaged (see pictures). There was a nail jammed in it and the spring was missing from the tip safety. I contacted Amazon immediately and they had a new one at my door the next evening. The second one is new and exactly as pictured in the listing. The nailer is pretty light and has a handy hook attached so you can hang it on your ladder or something. The depth adjustment is smooth and easy to use. For less than $100 it seems to be a very good value. ... show more

  • Awesome
Awesome and cheap brad nailer used it for exterior and interior trim and didn’t have any issues at all.

  • Accurate
This brad nailer is well made, allowes accurate placement of nails, no misfires(dry fire) that I can tell. It feels great in the hand, not too light, not heavy. First job of the gun was trimming a whole house(1400lft) and made my job that much easier. Compared to its competition H bought from the Lbox, the magazine is loading the nail strip tight and doesn't jam every few 10s of nails. That was frustrating, loose plastic magazine wobling and shaking. This Makita nailer has none of that, top notch gun and very reasonably priced, good value. Buy without regrets. (A word of caution: this is my second gun of the same, the first one arrived unable to sink the heads of nails, no matter what was adjusted, air pressure or depth setting. Was promptly returned, and the second one received works great.) ... show more

  • My first nail gun. Happy so far!
Just bought my first nail gun. After a ton of research, I narrowed it down to a few, including the Makita, a DeWalt, a Bostitch, and a couple of others. Ended up going with this one partly based on reviews, also price, and also I really can't lie: I like Makita color :) there, I admitted it! I was getting a Makita compressor so I decided why not go with same brand for the gun. Happy with it. Works as expected. Easy to set up. No misfires yet, but probably only shot 20-30 brads with it so far. ... show more

  • Bought this for hubby as he always complains he didn’t have one…
It’s makita, so… Supposed to be a good brand. Bought as Xmas gift. Husband likes it, only complaint is the limited size of brad nails you can use in it, as I did not read that carefully so no more than 2”. But for lighter jobs or repairs, it does what it needs to do. At least it’s not always hammer and nails. If you want the bigger nails you have to buy a bigger one, with a compressor hookup, so it has more power, driving bigger nails I suppose. I imagine this will be easier for me to use as well, as I can’t really lift heavier drills etc, so I can pro manage this. But hey, this helps with his honey-do list now 👍🏻😂 ... show more

  • Defedtive or just a bad product?
I was eager to try this tool based on prior experience with the brand. It was to supplement an older Porter Cable nailer that is and has been an excellent tool. I ordered this tool based on reviews and features. The belt hook was one of the most wanted features and the light weight was another. I tried the tool and the belt hook immediately useful. The lighter weight was also great. Unfortunately it didn't take long to find the flaws with this tool. The trigger rarely functioned on the first try and the tool had to be pulled back from the surface to be nailed so it could reset. The "no-mar" tip was a joke - it left dings in the wood surface on almost every nail that was driven. The deal-breaker was the depth setting. I could not achieve consistent nail setting depth no matter how I adjusted the depth setting. About half the nails I drove did not drive all the way into the wood, stopping 1/16" to 1/8" proud of the surface. This was with the depth setting knob adjusted to maximum depth. Also note I was driving 3/4" long nails, hardly a challenge for one of these tools. All the nails were driven into the same material, 1/4" pine strips attaching to 1/2" plywood. Another disappointment was the included tool case had no dedicated storage for boxes of nails. There was an area meant to contain safety glasses but it would not contain boxes of nails securely in my opinion since they could move around freely. Changing that odd-shaped pocket to contain a few boxes of nails would make better sense to me. I personally have no intention of ever keeping my safety glasses stored in a tool case. Bottom line is I cannot recommend this tool and advise anyone looking to buy a brad nailer to do some research and choose a different tool. ... show more
