I’ve an old Makita LS1013 miter saw, and I was surprised to find that the replacement blade I previously purchased would not slice completely through a block of wood - the block would be attached at the very back of the cut by a strip of wood. It turns out the replacement, which was billed as 10”, was actually 9-7/8” in diameter (it turns out all my table saw blades are 9-7/8”, from Freud to Forrest) and that 1/8” difference was enough to cause the faulty cut. Who would have expected 1/8” to make a difference? Heck, I’ve even heard speculation that in Asia where they manufacture all kinds of stuff, who even knows if they use imperial or metric scales when they makes things? So, why should I care? This blade is 10” in diameter, cuts like butter, looks like it has enough carbide for resharpening, and is exceedingly quiet for a miter saw blade. ... show more

Good investment for plywood ripping and cross cutting. Clean cuts and amazingly quite operation. I also have the Makita 100 tooth 12" variation for my miter saw and very happy with that too.

This is my third A-93550 blade. The saw originally came with this blade and it cut great. When it became worn, I tried to have it re-sharpened, but sharpening cost more than a new blade. I purchased 2 of the "red" blades, a "yellow" blade and a fancy titanium coated blade, but none cut as smooth as the original Makita. So, I bought a Makita. It is the smoothest, quietest blade I've ever used. The end grain of the cross cut is practically polished, requiring absolute minimal sanding. The thin kerf means less waste, but without sacrificing a true, square (non-wobbling) cut. When I damaged the second blade on some high silica South American wood, I immediately bought another Makita. I've spent more, but never had a better blade. ... show more

I bought this blade to replace the one that came with my Makita 10" slider. I'm a woodworker for a living and the original blade preformed well for at least 4 years of serious use and abuse. I use Forrest blades on my table saw and, like many woodworkers, consider them the best. I considered buying a Forrest crosscut blade as a replacement for my slider, but decided to go with the same Makita blade and am satisfied with it. I don't know if I'd put it on a table saw, but I'd buy it again for my slider. ... show more

Being a carpenter for over 20 some years, I have gone through quite a lot of chop saw blades. Buying red ones, green ones and any other colored blade out there only to be disappointed, it's like buying fishing lures, you buy a lot of them until you catch fish, until I came across the Makita blade. It cuts smooth, precise and doesn't deflect when it comes into contact with the material. I had it on the my Makita chop saw and it was great, I now have the Hatachi 10 FSH and it performs great as well. I would recommend this blade to anyone who wants nice cuts. A little spendy but worth it and the best price in town is Amazon. ... show more

I didnt think my diablo 70 tooth saw blade was dull... but wow- this makita blade cuts through 1" pine like it is butter. Smooth edge and no tear out. Never seen such a sharp and easy cutting blade. So glad I purchased it! Never going back.

I have a STACK of blades I've tried in years past and it amazes me how much they can vary in quality, despite the claims and the pretty packaging. Why spend the money having blades resharpened that never performed that well in the first place? The bottom line is that you'd be hard pressed to beat the Makita blades for what they cost PERIOD ... show more
