I needed a small beige bag for one outfit, and my designer bags that are this color are all a bit bigger than I wanted. I saw the MAKES Crossbody Bag, and noticed right away that it seemed to incorporate a couple of designer styles. I carry authentic designer bags, as I like the designs and superior quality that I pay for. My designer bags last, even those that I carry more often. I was curious to see the quality of this bag, especially at the low price point. This is not a leather bag, which I knew, but I want to point that out. This is “vegan”, “PU”, or imitation leather. It is a small, cute bag that you will able to fit a few items in when you don’t need to carry a lot of extra things. I was able to fit two of my phones, a small compact mirror, a lipstick, travel size perfume, money and credit cards. There is a zippered pocket inside that is good for securing money and credit cards/license. It also comes with a small wallet that holds cards, but it is not great quality. I like the beige color and the gold hardware, but I immediately noticed that it looks a bit cheap and as I inspected further, I noticed discoloration on parts of the gold hardware, including on the twist lock closure. There is also peeling on parts of the chain. That is not acceptable for me, at any price point. The stitching is slightly loose in some areas. The bag has striped lining, which looks nice. The design is cute, but the quality, for me, leaves a lot to be desired, even when considering the price.
